Hello,
My name is Mike. This is my first post on this forum, but I've lurked a little to get some ideas on where to start.
My story I've been an off and on smoker. I generally smoke on vacations and clean up after. In 2017 I didn't clean up quick enough and got addicted to cigarettes again. I smoke roughly 5 to 8 a day.
I've tried a few different devices and didn't really gel with them.
I've since picked up a "My von erl" and a couple tobacco flavored pods, and this seems to do a better job than what I've used in the past. So I feel that I might be able to make a complete switch.
The one thing that interests me are the new nic salt liquid available. Unfortunately you can't by nic salt pods for the MVL in Canada... so I'll consider another device, either the Bo One or the Aspire Breeze.
Anyway... enough of that.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi,

You might want to consider something like the Suorin Drop. It's in the same family as the Aspire Breeze - 'refillable' AIO type device. It's just the newest of the family.

In Canada we have a lot of places that sell salt nicotine juice. I know locally a bunch of B&Ms have it. Online you'd have to google around.

You may want to check out dash vapes. They have a deal where they give you a free Ego AiO and 30ml of juice if you buy $50 of juice: https://www.dashvapes.com/start

If you buy $70 of juice they'll throw in a free Aspire Breeze, the one you mentioned in the post.

It's juice you would be buying otherwise and I think they might have some salt juices. IIRC this would qualify for free shipping too. If I remember right, when I did it I bought overstock juices which are all ~50% off.

If you ever decide to go with traditional juices, Canada has some of the cheapest high quality liquid around. You're looking at ~12.5 cents per ml, and it's AMAZINGLY good stuff: www.bargainejuice.ca

Overall you picked a great time to start. It's a lot less experimental and main stream now. We're also spoiled in Canada with e-packet shipping from China, great selection of high quality hand made coils/juice available, and the relatively relax vaping laws.

Avoid buying anything with nicotine from outside of Canada. Nicotine is a controlled substance and you need to pay duty/fees/taxes/have a license to bring it into the country. If you do it via mail and it's found it will be returned to the sender.

***update. Well, my replacement pods for the MVE don't fit. They always pop out, to remedy this I wrapped some tape around the plastic part of the pods. Now they fit snug, but I get spit-back when inhaling sometimes. It looks like I'll be trying a different device. The suggestions above are the Suorin Drip and aspire breeze. I'll look into these further.

Just an update... after spending a pretty descent amount of coin on different devices and different juices, I've finally settled in to this vaping thing. Without really noticing it, I've stopped smoking cigarettes. Although the upfront experimental costs were quite high, there is no doubt in my mind that this will save money in the long run as well as my health.

My current main device is the Innokin EZ Watt - - I like the 1.5 ohm coil on the 13-14 watt setting. The nic strength I use took a fair bit of experimenting...12 mg is a good middle ground. It kills cravings without giving me any stomach discomfort or headaches.

I keep my Eleaf iCare 2 full of 8 mg nic juice that I use when driving, as I tend vape for longer periods of time while commuting to and from work.

I also discovered which flavours I tend to gravitate toward. Mainly sweet tobacco blends and the odd dessert such as custard.

I was feeling guilty for buying a bunch of stuff I ultimately didn't use... but now I realized it was a necessary part of learning what I enjoy.

Good to here you have gotten to a place that Works for You.

I wish More People would have your Attitude towards the Initial Expense(s) when one firsts start using an e-Cigarette. Because it can take some Purchases to find what a person likes/needs.

But when compared to the Cost of smoking, and the Health Harms that smoking causes, they do seem Small Costs in the Grand Scheme of Things.

I think most successful vapers have to experiment at the beginning. I had a lot of stuff to give away that just wasn't suited to my needs, but I felt okay about it. Dialing in my vape gave me the motivation to read a lot, learn a lot, and kept my mind off smoking!

Now, after the great flavor purchases of last week, I would officially like to slow down. That can of course, change at a moments notice.

But, most of all, congrats on your success and sticking with it. The sticky people make it, has been my observation.
