You should be fine, just be sure your batteries can support your wattage needs, which kind of depends what coil you want to use.

If the above statement is gibberish, come back and tell us what batteries you have and where you got them and what coil you want to use, etc.

Anna
The mod uses 3 18650 batteries, so I bought 3 Sony VCT5A 2600 mAh 25A batteries. What kind of wattage can those batteries handle? Thanks in advance. *edit* I forgot to mention I bought the batteries from element vape along with the mod.

Okay your wattage needs should be covered, meaning that a 3 battery mod with the Sony batteries will let you get to very high wattage safely. I can't give you an exact number I'm not a wattage guru, or battery guru, but I'd say you'd be fine at over 100 watts, if that is your desire.

I'm going to link you to a couple battery guru blogs though, you can check there. The main problem I see is you bought from Element vape, and while I find them to be a great company the only known way to avoid rewraps (people taking a lower rated battery and rewrapping it to look authentic) is to use trusted, approved suppliers. Mooch's blog has a table listing those suppliers, and if in the US, any vendor listed should be fine. (It's in the last cell of the chart, along with actual tested ratings.) I would link the chart but I always fail. On Baditudes blog (also a great battery resource) you will find recommended batteries for specific wattages.

Note that I'm not saying those batteries ARE rewraps, and even if they are well IDK. I will merely state that the only way to be 100% SURE is by buying from a trusted vendor. I use IMRbatteries.com and I love them. I use them exclusively unless they don't have a battery I want. Also, if you are outside the US, say where you are and I'm sure someone will be along to help.

Some light reading (you don't have to do it all/all at once!) Do you know around what wattages you think you'll be using? If it's lower, I'd say perhaps it may be safe to use your batteries and honestly Element Vape is a good vendor I just don't play around with batteries. Ever. They are the single most important safety issue in vaping if you ask me. Since your mod is regulated, most likely if the batteries are rewraps and the wattage is too much, you will likely not get the mod to fire, and/or get dreadful battery life (a sign they MAY be rewraps) and ultimately a regulated mod 99.9% of the time won't fire, etc. I so don't want to be the 0.01% of people whose mod does something a bit more exciting but not in a good way.

Good luck and happy vaping!

The highest I'll go with with the coil I have at the moment would be 90 watts. You've been very helpful and informative.

I think you will be fine but I hesitate to say it for sure, because I Strictly Adhere to the Battery Experts on here. You'd have to have absolutely DREADFUL rewraps for things to NOT be safe, but I will also say that absolutely dreadful rewraps are Out There, and I can't 100% say what you've got, but if you are using them and getting reasonable battery life, I'd GUESS you'd be fine.

This is a GUESS and an ESTIMATE though. Next time you get batteries, get them from an approved vendor and use Baditude's list of best batteries for whatever wattage (although you have three, so like, it' won't be exact....) Oh heck I am going to just summon him to the thread!
@Baditude , what would you suggest here? (He may also be on break due to July 4thish.)

Glad it has been somewhat helpful I just want you to vape Happy and safe. Hopefully he can give you better advice. Etc.

Using three Sony VTC5A simultaneously, you're good for up to 225 watts.

Welcome aboard Cjortego. Most of the Smok TFV tanks seem to be geared to more vapor/less flavor especially if you use the high power coils. The TFV12 Prince actually produces good vapor and good flavor as long as you avoid the T12 coil. The Q4 or the T6 should give you the best combination for flavor and taste.
