50$ for my mod, + 34$ for the tank + 10$ for my sony vtc5 battery to power it. I only need to rebuild the coils for the lemo tank which is super easy, it hits like a dripper which gives AMAZING flavor, one of the best tanks on the market atm and will be for a while. All for under 100$. Granted I need to build my coils, but I can put out clouds which will beat some drippers out there. And the taste ... mmmm amazing. (though it sucks down juice) Ultimately it will come down to what you want, and what you are willing to spend. But in this field, if you are nit picking over 10-15$ ... just spend the extra amount and get something better.

Seeing what drunkenbatman posted, I can see where using pre-built or building the coils are cheaper.

I'll probably end up with the pre-built ones as I have very shaky hands - and bad eyesight XD.

All of this has been a really big help. I kinda wish I had asked ahead of time before buying anything. Costly mistake .

I've not read the thread in detail, but two comments.

no.2 When you say "Buy direct from Kanger"... do you mean order from China? If you mean buy direct from the "official Kanger store US" then you do not need to do this.
The official "brand" stores in both the US and UK of both Kanger and Joyetech are places to avoid unless you are happy to pay over the going price for products.

If you are unwilling to build your own coils ... which is fine btw, as everyone has to start somewhere, id really go with the nautilus by aspire, or get the nautilus mini with any choice of mod / battery out there.

Would you happen to know if the Atlantis by the same company is worth getting? I hear rebuilding the atomizers is a pain. Would I be able to buy the premade wire/wick to do this one?

Also do you think the Nautilus can use the premade wicks?

The nautilus is a more complicated rebuild. I wouldn't recommend messing with rebuilding those after the information you've given, honestly. I also wouldn't recommend buying the Atlantis in your situation, for a few reasons:

a. It's an expensive tank that uses expensive coils.

b. You'll need a 50w battery to really use it, which is more money.

c. It goes through a lot of eliquid, which is one of your biggest expenses.

d. It currently uses coils made of fiberglass/ceramic fibers which are a known carcinogen and worse, as do all the Aspire BVC coils (not bcc or bdc). They have said they are switching to cotton after people wigged out, but they haven't said when. There's more information in the thread below for you to make up your own mind:

Remember, you aren't addicted to nicotine, if your battery dies you won't be forced to buy cigarettes. You're doing this for anxiety, and because you're a diabetic, to probably help control intake for your sweet fix -- so there's a lot to be said for a budget on your limited income. Also, there can be a lot of upselling in these threads even if it's all with good intentions. Honestly, if you weren't already looking at the protank I'd point you towards two of these:

Same coils as the protank, so everything mentioned above applies, except because it's not glass you can't use tank-cracker eliquids.

Okay. One more question for you guys.

I was looking at mods with replaceable batteries. Would these be cheaper in the long run since I wouldn't need to replace the whole mod after the battery becomes finicky?

It can, but it's not a given. It really just depends on the price and reliability of the batteryless-mod. e.g., a decent pair of batteries and a charger will set you back ~$35. So you basically have to weight it for each mod, unless you're talking a very reliable mechanical box mod or something.

If it will out way the cost in the long run I'm willing to spend a little more on the mod. Not sure which batteryless ones are best and which batteries are best to use in them.

It won't really, not for the mods you're looking at. If you have a $30-$50 box mod, in a few years by the time the batteries are dying so will the switches, etc. There are cases where it makes sense, but in yours it'd just be adding expense and extra points of failure -- you could literally buy two isticks/MVPs for the cost of one open + batteries/charger, and by the time the batteries are dying on the open-box mod the switch and 510 connector can be going, etc.

Thank you for the info . I'll probably buy one istick this month and another next. I want two mods and two tanks so it isn't so frustrating waiting on my next hit while my battery is charging XD.
