hello everyone! i was sent an invite to this group and just saying hello. This is my 2nd social group though I am not a very social chick. The only time I come around anymore is for tech questions, to find cheaper stores--that sorta thing.

So....about me:
I have depression but it's up & down. Not on meds currently; waiting for a better health ins to kick in first (darn premiums!). Very emotional and have a BIG mouth. My mouth works faster than my brain and I often regret it. I'm agressive, loud, and talk/type non-stop but am also very sweet and giving when the mood stikes.

Traditionally Christian but not going to church--hate exploring alone.

Texan born and sadly, will probably die in Texas (from the God-awful heat!)

Was down to FIVE cigarettes per day until all my batteries crapped out. Went right back to smoking full time while I waited for an order. All this after smoking 2 to 3 packs a day (really--I'm a chain smokin' stress-ball) and trying quite literally EVERYTHING to quit smoking. My back up plan now includes a usb pass thru & power pack--just in case!

Married forever, no kids but have a small zoo of critters.

Hate my job, house, city, sometimes my family (ha!) and the smell of smoking. After my cig savings kick in, plan to do lots of painting and washing

I drink like, once a year, if that. Everyone who knows this is amazed at how much alcohol I can take in before getting tipsy (because I'm also 5 feet tall and about 110 pounds when bloated) I tell them it runs in the family. We're infamously known for our ability to take in huge amounts of alcohol. Even the county clerks know this. :D

I have no friends but I am usually pretty OK with that. Husband is, always was my best friend in the world & how many can say that? Though occasionally wish I had someone to shop with because I HATE shopping. Need someone to tell me honestly--"YES! Those jeans make your heinie look ENORMOUS!!! buy 'em anyways; I'll look good standing next to you."

I'm a jokester. I love to make people laugh, but ironically, it takes a LOT to get me to laugh or even chuckle out loud. I'd be a stand up comedian if I didn't mind the travel or didn't hate people in general

HA HA!!

Hi whatagem! I have seen you around the board..good posts! You are welcome here, we like chatty people..DON'T we..(ok so I am the chattiest!):D
Check out my latest "smile for you" Post..that's got to appeal to the "want to kick them in the pants" person in you!
Talk about whatever you like, keep it clean and semi polite..we have impressionable old ladies here! (me).
If life gets to you, you or anyone here is welcome to go over to Wrecked and Bonkers to blow off steam. Just click on the link below my sig.
Jennee, have you checked the model specific forums? Ask about the purple there. I have seen 901's in purple but it's like the pink..that flat color not the deep color of the blues and reds.

Yes, I checked that and looked through all of them all day today. I thought I had seen purple ones before at ecigsupply, but I guess not. I saw every other color there so maybe I just imagined purple. Good prophets has the purple attys. I'll just wait till after I get moved and look again. Tomorrow is Wed already and it may not be here by Sat. Thanks though! :)

Welcome and your comments really do remind me of me. I'm a Texas girl from birth (El Paso), and will gladly die in Texas, but would love to move up north for the 8 month summer! lol I currently live in Orange, Texas but will be moving back to Houston in a few months.. thank goodness!!!

It's nice to know that there is another female out there that hates shopping as much as I do. I do 80% of my shopping online and try to avoid Wal-mart like the plague. People HATE shopping with me because I power walk up and down the aisles.. my motto is get in and get out - QUICK! lol

Welcome to women's room! You're going to love it!

p.s.
so, Jennee, the colors you are referring to are NOT the leds? you mean they have the actual e-cig in a variety of colors aside from white, black, and silver???? I know that one of the vendors has a 501 I want with a purple LED, but the replaceable batteries are either red or blue. INTERESTING!! I'll have to find those threads...

wow! A lot of replies--more than I expected.

I hate wal-mart too but it's the cheapest we have a round here & the commercials are true--you can get most of what you need in one stop so it saves on gas. I tend to split my groceries between HEB and wal-mart, depending on what is cheaper where.

Once in a blue moon, husband will be with me for a quick run in wal-mart. Forgetting our last trip together, like a hundred years ago, he always asks, "What is this, a race?"

It's gotten to the point where I almost don't care who's in my way. I just got off work; I'm hot, sweaty and exhausted.. BUMP BUMP
What was that? Oh, I just ran over a kid with my shopping cart. Oh well! Where's the aisle with the coffee?

I don't get those people who just mull about looking at everything from toothpaste (they're all the same) to bath towels (also, all the same--at least at wal-mart) I always assume those people have no jobs and no where better to be. But the curtious thing would be to step aside for me :D

I also appreciate a clean tone. I was on another board where the regulars just made everything feel "young". I'm only 28 but all the flirting jokes and endless inuendo had me oddly transported to the girl's room in high school. I think it's fine among friends--but hate it when that kind of stuff hijacks a tread. I just felt like I waaaaaay too old for that crowd. I felt like I was turning into my mother

so far, I like the vibe here

Oh and Texas summers? Don't get me started--I work where it can sometimes get to 120 degrees inside (literally) but I also HATE cold. I want to move where it's late spring year round. Does such a place exist? (preferably without the threat of hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc)

Let me know if you ever find that place! :w00t:

I used to think that the North West section of the U.S. would be perfect, but then I remembered about the volcanos... lol We really can't catch a break. I love Texas life, but the summers are like cruel and unusual punishment! We have a boat that we dont use in the summer months, and the humidity! I used to complain about the humidity in Houston, then I moved further east (my house is 4 miles from the Louisiana border) and now I truly understand the meaning of "wet rat". Going outside to smoke was like trying to smoke a cigarette under water. It was the worst.. uggh. I used to get a kick out family coming to visit (yes, I'm mean that way) and how they couldn't handle it sometimes. Everyone running from car to indoors.. having a dazed look/feel to them. The whole, "this is just unnatural!" speeches from them were the best. Especially family from California. My cousin, from California, had me laughing constanstly with his Facebook updates: "I just landed in Houston and it's HOT..like Africa hot!" "I'm standing in line to get a snow cone, and I just sweated 60% of my bodys water" The best time was going to my cousins graduation at UT Law and my brothers, who are hilarious, were arguing with each other as we walked to the ceremony. One would say, "did you feel that? that was a nice breeze!" and the other replied with, "shut up .....**, it's the heat off the cars driving by! there's nothing nice about the hot breath they are blowing on us!" We seem to do a lot of driving and looking out the window... Of course, my cousins in california get theirs when I visit. A few summers ago my cousin got married, they had their rehearsal "dinner" at the beach with a pit fire etc., and everyone must have thought I was crazy. It was a beautiful night, but the temperature dropped below 70 (August) and I started to get really cold. They were like, "yeah, the one trying to stay warm near the pit is my cousin from Texas, can you tell?"

Uh-huh...I used to get a lot from my brother-in-law. They all lived in Ohio for years & years & my bro-in-law wouldn't let up; he'd go on & on & on about how us Texans are so weak in the cold, you'd never make it up north, blah, blah, blah. He'd carry on for hours about how nice it is up there.

Well, what are you waiting for? Go on! Git outta here because you're getting on my last nerve! I have no problem admitting that I am weak in the cold so shut up ya big baboon!

Then he complains every summer about how bloomin' hot it is. Of course I don't throw it back in his face. Even though he outweighs me by about 300 pounds, I prefer to be the bigger person HA HA :D

Only in the last year did I learn how to make my hair work in the humidity. I have naturally wavy hair which tends to kink up in humid weather. So here's what it took me YEARS to learn:
I comb a thick conditioner into hair in the shower. Sponge dry with a towel--no more combing or brushing. When half wet, I put about fourty-three cans of mousse (Aussie Catch the Wave) in hair and scrunch it with my hands. It turns out perfect and soft with some hold.

Louisiana is so much worse! Husband's family lived there for a while & we visited there couple times. The whole area smells like bad fish and wetness in the air. My hair stayed in a bun.
INSECTS! We have bugs the size of dogs--they have bugs the size of small children!

me too, nice place to relax when the forum gets 'weird'

glad to see you in the women's room, hope you stick around. btw, friends are overrated. I like my online friends who don't call at akward moments and don't stop by the house unannounced.

Gem, I worked in a Wal-mart for a couple of years, first in Infants..I had a woman go into labor and still refuse to leave! I grabbed some towels and told her to clean up after herself when her water broke..I was busy! Stupid girl!!
I worked in Crafts..a big giant mess! Then Jewelry. I liked it there, I didn't have to clean the whole store at night..just my little area! But my best job was when I transferred to the Vision center. I was the invoice cleark..I did the ordering, inventory, receiving ect. NO CUSTOMERS! I had my own private area and computer and did I mention..no customers, no check outs , no money...Ah as close to Heaven as you can get at a Wal-Mart! Then they decided they didn't want invoice clerks in the Vision Center! Drat!

But I have to say, I am one of those people who wander around and look at everything. I love to shop..at least until my back starts hurting, then I just want to go!

my mom worked as an overnight stocker for 2 years and HATED every minuet of it. When she finally quit, she got a job with a magazine company--she shows up to stores, pulls the old magazines and sets out the new ones.....guess where?! Yep! THREE wal-marts included
(mom hated black thursday especially--she worked the toy section. I can remember her years ago dragging me to such events as a child and taking out people to save $5. These days she sleeps in. Her first year, a TV fell from a top shelf onto someone. Our wal-mart keeps TVs lower now)

Last week at our local super wal-mart mom said the biggie manager was stabbed in the back--literally. Not that we didn't see it all coming.

Oh, jokes are in bad taste--even I can admit that. Actually what happened is one of the janitor's went of his meds; he's a little off. For some reason, he got it into his head this cat had been sleeping with his wife (which is not something anyone could imagine) and he stabbed the manager with a knife--all th way to the handle. Manager is looking better, out of ICU.

But that the way it goes around here. A while back, someone drove right into a wal-greens and took the clerks hostage or something while they emptied the registers.
At one store, someone wrapped a chain around an ATM and tried to drive away with it hitched to their vehicle! (I think in that story, there was more damage to tthe truck than the ATM)

The 7-11 2 blocks from our house was robbed for the third time this year (for $20 ha ha) AND we bought our first gun this year. Now we are true texans....afraid, angry, and well armed
