I've been lurking around here for about two weeks now. I found you guys after I ordered my first electronic cigarette - wish I'd of found you first. I've already upgraded to a manual 510 from my first model (the little automatic has been bequeathed to a neighbor who is also trying to break from analogs).

In two weeks I've gone from carts to cartos to dripping. I found that I had the dang thing in my hand all of the time and was constantly vaping. I had to move myself to dripping as a way to control my intake . The cartos have been moved over to drive time use only. End result: Sore throat cured, juice consumption under control and the second battery now has time to charge before I suck the other one dry.

I quit smoking analogs the day I got my first model and haven't gone back, not even tempted.

My goal is to get to zero nicotine, then try and make myself let go of the crutch all the way. That's going to be hard though, because I really, really just WANT the shinny red Ego they have at the store....:D

Thanks! You guys are a treasure trove of information.

Between learning what I could lurking here and being lucky enough to have brick and mortar shop with all the goodies about five minutes away (found them right after the first model was ordered), I've been able to sort through things pretty quickly.

...yeah that red eGo...she talks to me in my sleep, I'm fairly certain she will be mine before too long.

Welcome to the ECF and congrats on making the switch. Don't let the goal of zero nic become too important. I personally know two vapers that left cigarettes behind for vaping, one for 6 months and one for about a year. Both of them were determined to quickly get to zero nic and did well with it. Each of them hit a stressful period and started smoking again, telling me that vaping just didn't give them the same satisfaction that a cigarette did. Zero nic doesn't do anything for you if it makes you go back to analogs.

I have three ranges of juice. 0MG, 6MG and 11MG.

I know me, even after I get down to nothing but zero, there will be at least one bottle of juice on hand at all times that has nicotine in it - because I totally am the type to do exactly what the two people you mention did.

That being said, I'm not in a super hurry to reach either goal since the truly important one has already been achieved.

I started out wanting to ditch nicotine and wean off vaping later. Now I don't care if I ever do either. Everytime I have a crabby client to deal with at work, looming deadlines for reports, a great meal, etc... all the things that made me break in any other quit... I reach for my e-cig, and am proud to say "I don't smoke". I say it, I mean it, and for the first time ever I like not smoking better than smoking. My nic need level has lowered itself too, I started at 28mg, and now am at 15ish most of the time, down to 7 some days, 0 sometimes cause I just want the taste, or 24 cause I want to kick a puppy (not really, lol, I am not that mean).

All in all, I will let this vaping thing steer itself cause it is steering right so far. :) Welcome, and congratulations!!
