I guess I have to post 5 times here to be able to post anywhere else, so I will introduce myself. I am 45 a wife and the mother of a 12 year old son and 2 year old daughter. I am looking for a safer way to smoke. I do not want to quit, but I am suffering the ill effects of a 31 year smoking habit. I have tried everything else and nothing worked because I really like smoking. The chantix I tried last month made me crazy, so I am going to try and find the right e cig for me. I tried blu 3 years ago and it just wasn't enough vapor, so I am going to try some disposables. I cant do the dripping thing because I am afraid my children might get hold of the juice. And I can't afford to keep trying starter kits. That's it. I guess I will keep posting until I find the right thing and quit smoking cigs.

Hi! Glad you are here. I would recommend an ego type, rather than disposables since the Blu wasn't enough. Hang on and I'll find a good deal and post it here. :)

http://www.surevapes.com/eGo-Carto-Value-Kit--Black_p_41.html $29.00 for a complete 1 batt kitt and if you use coupon code isurevape get another 5% off - free shipping and these guys always ship to me super fast. For $10 more you can get 2 batts.

Hi. I smoked for about 30 years and have quit for 3 months. Starter kits can get expensive. I've have ordered some Smokeless Image Volts which are highly recommended by forum users. They aren't too expensive and you can buy a very cheap starter if you dont want a whole kit- battery and charger. Probably work out cheaper than disposables pretty quickly.

Hello, and good luck to you. My sister is taking the chantix route, and I am so worried about her. Recently I purchased her an Ego Q battery with a matching vision clearomizer to try vaping instead. The proper setup is so essential in successfully quiting smoking. The biggest hurdle is finding the right juice that makes you want to vape. Its a search that really never ends, due to your tastebuds getting bored, but its always fun to find new flavors you like. Its totally worth it health wise, and its way cheaper than cigs. Youre in the right place for advice, and there is a long list of awesome vendors here. Hopefully it works out for you.

Good luck in your journey. I myself tried chantix twice and the last time I started seeing things that was not there. So needless to say I was not going that route again. People are here to help that have alot of experiences with loads of brands and can help you find a nice reasonable kit that should fit your budget. I do see alot of people love ego brands and would be worth a look for sure.

Hiya, not tried the dripping too much myself, but I imagine that you have to keep the juice at hand at all times. Got two nippers of my own, and wouldn't want themto come into contact with my e-juice either. Luckily they come in child resistant caps, and secondly my tanks hold enough juice for hours of vaping, so don't need to refill to often. Also I keep bottles of e-juice in a place that is inaccessible to them. I have ego batteries, with a few dct tanks, not had a problem so far, and kept me well off the nasties.

Hi and welcome to ECF.Just seeing the word Chantix makes me shudder,I tried it and it gave me nightmares.Sometimes I had to fight my way out of the bad dreams.Never mind the nausea. Why is this stuff still on the market?Anyhow I would suggest an EGO type model.Other people say other things but I have had good luck with them.:)

Hi & Welcome to ECF! Whatever kind of kit you get I'd definitely get at least two batteries so you'll have one to use while the other one is charging. You didn't mention how much you smoke, but consider the cost of your month's supply of cigarettes in relation to the cost of a decent starter kit plus some e-liquid and you'll probably see vaping is less expensive than you thought. Yes, there *is* a learning curve to it, and you will inevitably buy some juices you simply can't stand searching for the ones you love, etc. These things can't be avoided, but in the long run you *will* save money if that is among your goals.

Main thing: this should be fun for you! Allow yourself to get excited about it, but not stressed. Read all you can on here from other vapers about their experiences & what has worked/doesn't work for them. Then just try something, knowing that whatever you try will be better than setting little bonfires of dried vegetable matter beneath your nose.

Blessings, & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Welcome to the forum. I am glad that you are not using Chantix (sp?). I think if you stick with it, you will find an e-cig setup that is right for you and will make you want to vape instead of smoke. I have been smoke free for almost 26 days and I haven't even wanted a real cigarette since I started. They key for me is to vape as much as possible, that way I never get to the point of "craving" a cigarette, because my body has enough nicotine to keep the cravings away. Good Luck and as someone above said, YouTube is your friend. Watch videos by GrimmGreen for example. He reviews a lot of possible e-cigs that might work for you.

Click on the link below and go to Post #9 and you will see my recommendation to another new user.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/310734-hello-new-ecig-user.html

In the recent past, most of us were where you are now. I bought my first e-cig in May. I quit cigs completely 3 days after that. The Vivi Nova tank that is mentioned in the post I linked to holds about 3ml of juice, which should last you all day or at least most of a day. That way, you can fill it up and put the juice bottle away and out of sight.

Here's a pic that shows the size of the KGO. The E-Power is a little fatter than the KGO.

The longer I have been off the chantix the more I realize how badly it effected me. I was on a forum for it on topix.com and it seems to really work for some people, but for others it just isn't worth it.
