Hey everyone. I've been lurking around here for a week or so and finally decided to join.

I'd been a smoker for 16 years... jeez! that's half my life!!

but made the switch to vaping a month ago. Took me a week or so to completely get off traditional cigs but now 100% smoke free!

So yeah, just wanted to stop by and say hello

Thanks! I didn't think it would be as easy as it was. I'd tried cold turkey and the gum a few times in the past but had no success. But the physical act of smoking was a big hurdle for me so vaping really made it easy.

Best part is I (and my clothes, car, house) don't smell like an ashtray anymore In fact, a friend of mine came over the other day and I'd been vaping some mango e-juice and he was like "wow, it smells really good in here".

Well done and welcome! I have been vaping for about six months and my wife has now also quit analogs and started vaping for the last 3 weeks. She is absolutely in love with the mango juice!

I'm trying to get my dad to switch to vaping, so far he's been a bit reluctant, he's super old fashioned and I'm pretty sure technology scares him lol.

I have been vaping for about a year. I encouraged my father to try it out when I started. THIS WEEK he has a starter kit on the way. I'm hoping he will be in town for the start of football season so he can test all of the flavors I have. My mentioning how much cheaper it is than smoking combined with the doc telling my step mom to quit convinced him to give it a shot. Good luck with that.

Oh that's a good idea. Why didn't I think of that? Along with being old fashioned and afraid of technology he's also always trying to save a buck! Alright, that's the new game plan! (Seriously, why didn't I think of that??)

If he is not afraid to boil a kettle, he should be just fine vaping...essentially the same thing I think once he discovers all the really cool flavors (and maybe even devices) out there, the habit becomes a hobby and a great deal of fun. hmmm...maybe my cost saving isn't as big as originally anticipated lol ...all these new devices and flavours out there...and I have to try them all!!!
