To make a short story long or the other way around I thought id come on here for some advice before I bin me liquids and gear I bought. Struggling to find the right liquid/gear. Not sure which. So far I tried the VG at 16, 18, 24. Used to use a ego? the one with a standard battery and a disposable cartomizer. Thought it might just make a difference if I up the gear. So bought a variable voltage ego battery and a viva nova. Still struggling. Gear is brill but so far all it does is make me want to have a real cig rather than vape. Am I barking up the wrong tree or is there hope for me still?

There is hope, You just have to find a flavor that you enjoy more than smoking, I started vaping to cut down/ not have to go outside as much. Now it seems that I wander outside with my vape out of ritual.
What were your smoking habits before?
I assume you mean your nicotine levels when you say VG they are 2 completely different things

Welcome! Hope you enjoy your stay.

it can be hard finding the right juices, once you do the battle is half over. Don't give up just yet. What do you feel you're missing about the cigs?

I don't feel I get any nicotine or taste of the flavour. Last night I chose not to buy any tobacco well knowing I was out. Had the worst evening/nite bad cravings, vaping a lot to try and compensate and I didn't feel any relief from cravings. Besides feeling I get no nicotine or flavour I cant fault it. Tried different types of liquids, different flavours, different vape techniques different voltages and still get craving real bad.

Smoke between 25-30 homerolls. smoke indoors at home, the usual going outside at work and so on.

was referring to the type and strength in regards to the liquids :)/)

Hi and welcome, Confuddled! Love your username,! You've got good gear already. Now you need to find the right juice, which is IMO the secret to successful vaping. Order small samples of every kind of flavor; if you're lucky to have a local shop, see if they'll let you test flavors before you buy. If not, many online vendors offer sampler packs of 3-5ml sizes. Try them all and you may be surprised at what you end up liking!

Don't punish yourself if you have the occasional smoke. Switching from smoking to vaping is a different path for each of us. You'll find yours. And we're here to help if you need us! :vapor: :thumb: :vapor:

EDIT: Reading recent posts. What nic level are you vaping? You may want to up the level if you're not getting satisfaction...

So, reading back I noticed you're vaping various nic levels of VG? No PG?

Another thought: There's a trick to the technique of vaping that differs from smoking. Since most of the nicotine in vapor is absorbed in the mouth and nasal passages (as opposed to tobacco smoke, where the nic is absorbed in the lungs), it helps to hold the vapor in your mouth a few seconds before (optionally) inhaling. Try exhaling through your nose (the "vaping bull" technique...). This allows for maximum absorption of the nicotine. This might help increase your satisfaction.

EDIT: Also, try some juice (e-liquid) with some PG, which will give you the TH (throat hit) you're used to from tobacco smoke. Most vendors give you the option of various proportions of PG/VG.

Blond moment there (and im not blond) at the moment I got a 24 mg licorice Everytime I felt I got nothing from it I have upped the strength.

As agent said, Try some different techniques.

It is a big learning curve at first, but once you get it right you will never look back. (stick with it)

Hi, and as others have mentioned with the correct setup and juice you wont want a regular Cig again and will grow to hate the smell.

I already do, already tried all other methods to quit and not done anything for me. Cant wait to get rid the yellow patches and so on and get the natural skin colour back (not the one with a hint of grey)
