I would like to see the reference for that one that specifically says nicotine OD to the exclusion of nicotine ingestion. Phrasing it as a symptom of nicotine overdose implies you need medical intervention.
Not necessarily--to me it just means you're getting too much too fast. Stop chewing (vaping, smoking, snusing, whatever you're doing) and the symptoms will go away. Just like with drinking--a glass too many, feeling sick or even throwing up indicates an overdose, but doesn't necessarily require a trip to ER.
Anyway, I don't want to argue about semantics--so let's just say that hiccups with vaping may indicate you're consuming too much too fast--slow down and let the nic metabolize before continuing.
