It's a matter of preference really , the high bridge attys push the poly batting into the cart and the low ones do not , i only drip with my 801 anymore so i use both. "true" dse-801 atomizers have the high bridge. I feel what matters more is 2hole vs 4hole 801 attys... but that's just me.

I get my low-bridge 801's from

or anywhere you can buy the Joye302 atomizers. Some 801 cartridges are all mixed up with high-bridge low-bridge, if you get a cart that's too long you may have to trim about an 1/8th of an inch off the cart. You'll know it's too long if it keeps getting a build-up of condensed vapor on the outside of the cart holder (it's a large amount, not just a drop or two). Just use a small sharp scissors. I don't think the vendors' even know there's a problem with them. If in doubt ASK. I have yet to find a single high-bridge atomizer I could like, they're horrid.

its just a shape the folks who make the atomizer choose to go with.. it dosnt make much difference except the cart wool can get pushed up into the atomizers if the wrong carts are used.. or alternatively the wool dosnt touch the bridge at all..

they all used to be the flatter curved shape.. then some appeared with the pointy vee shape.. the carts did differ tho to allow for the altered bridge shape.... now all this this seems to have been mixed up..

basically DSE 901s went pointy.. RN4075 (901s) tight stayed flat.. the carts are not supposed to be mixed up put it now seems they are..
