if you run them parallel you add the mah
if you run them series you add the volts

but what happens tot the Amp rating? in either case do you add them ?

You can only add the amps when you run batteries in parallel.

Correct.

Just to be clear, they are 2600 mAh and will output 30A continuous each. In parallel, you'll get 5200 mAh and 60A continuous at nominal 3.7V.

a little out of topic for any one. so which one preferred in a term of amperage rating
single 26650 battery or dual parallel 18650 ??

efest has a 50A 26650, but it looks like 60 amps from 2 parallel 18650 rated at 30 each would be more so i guess it depends on space
