Did you get the EMOV variable voltage or the 3.7 volt regulated one? I recommend a variable voltage device. High end? The sky is the limit on price and size/wattage. To vape nicely as a substitute to smoking an ego sized battery of 1000 ma or so and variable voltage is all you need. You can use cartos, drippers or clearomizers/tanks on them all will work fine on that battery.

I have a variable voltage battery. Is Kanger just low cost junk. I only payed 60 bucks for it.

You are mixing apples with oranges. Kanger and Aspire are pre-made coil/wick tank specialists and are at the top of the food chain.
The battery component side is where you can upgrade if you what to continue using the convenience of Kanger and Aspire pre-made coils/wicks, other than that you have to go the rebuildable route. I use Kanger/Aspire type system when I am out and about on the road and RTA system when I am home, this way I'am are not limited to one source when I'am out of pre-made coils or stuck if a RTA coil burns out when I am traveling.

An affordable quality system is to use Kanger's KBox and the Kanger tanks you already own.
You can buy Kanger's VW KBox for just under $28USD and select the battery you want. I do not like systems that use the eGo or other throw away battery systems.

Thanks, maybe the KBox and good name brand batteries is the way to go.

Kanger is a good company and their Aero tanks, T3D, etc are great tanks. I use their little Esmart and T4S tanks on my 808 threaded stick batteries and 808 threaded VV ego style batteries. Those to little clearomizers are nice for small stuff.
If your battery is Variable Voltage you should have a fairly nice little system that should serve your needs well. The EMOV tank is a nice one with bottom dual coils same as the Aerotanks and T3D, etc.

don't take this wrong, but you are not really getting the idea

there are different types and each category has its high end and low end...

egos and clearos (where you are) kanger, aspire are among the top

regulated APV (more power) provari, vaporshark, zero mod...

mechanical mods there are a lot to name and the clones work practically the same

now on toppers

pre-built kanger, joyetech, aspire

rebuildables dripers and tanks again there are a lot of stuff here

learn a little, take your time and see what type of device fits your needs and THEN start looking for the high end stuff

I have:

Provari P3
Joyetech eVic Supreme
Eleaf iStick (50W, 30W and 20W)

The Provari is probably considered "high-end", the eVic somewhere in-between, and the iSticks at the bottom.I will not go into details on how they actually work and vape - too many factors effect that - but I can say the Provari definitely "oozes" quality in just how it feels. You can tell it is a well-engineered, reliable and "quality" product - although it may or not be what you are looking for! :)

I don't think kanger is junk. But if you only paid 60 bucks for a 40 dollar starter kit you're ahead of the game! I paid 75 for a bs 510 kit my first time out. Found out three days later that I could have bought it for 30 one piece at a time with shipping.
Never mind that though. If you are happy and not smoking you made the right choice. Capitalism runs rampant so vape gear will cost you what the market will bear. Just keep in mind that there are many markets and for some devices the market can bear quite a lot.
Look at ipv mini's, vs dna30, mvp 3. All close in price to your starter kit and will seem high end. But, if money comes easily for you get the flask or sx mini.

Jazthedj, I personally am going to suggest you stick with what you have for right now while you learn a bit about what you may want. As it seems like you are unsure of what is what, so take some time (so long as your setup is working) and look around. If you find something you are interested in by all means ask about it.

I don't think Provari is a good deal at all. After PBusardo's visit to their facilities convinces me that even more.
Quality does not mean the most expensive, the real meaning of Quality is the lowest cost item will perform as promised or similar or better than one costing more ! Nit picking on little cosmetic defects just raises the cost of the product because they are having high defect rates which gets added into the high cost of the units that do past inspection.
