I purchased high 36mg and also some 24mg all are (50pg/50vg) I am a 2 pk a day smoker so I do need the high nic for now until I can wheen myself down.

I am satisfied with the nic amount just not the dry hit i get from it, feel like someone used an air compressor pointing the nozle in the same spot for 5 min.

Is there a way to get the high nic I need but without such a dry th?

I'm all over the place right now, trying to find the one I would like to make my main site to shop. So far I have ordered from Vaporium, waiting on some from Flavourcrafters and also bought some from PEC smokeshop which is local to me so I just drive over. I am experimenting with the levels and I need the various levels of nic throughout the day.

Gotcha... It takes some Experimenting to find what works best.

Like I said, most places give you some choices with PG:VG ratios.

It could also be that the reason for the dry throat is because it is new to you. I, like you was a 2+ pack a day smoker before I switched to vaping, and the first week or so after making the change it felt like I had a desert in the back of my throat, it was so dry. After my body finally realized that no matter how much it wanted me to go back to smoking analogs, my throat finally relented and went back to normal and haven't had a dry throat since, and I started out with 24 mg strength as well. Maybe just give it a while longer to see how it goes before changing your juice regimen up?

I agree Vise, I currently have a cold that is messing up my tastebuds bad right now and my whole mouth is as dry as the desert, mind you drinking as much coffee as I do probably doesn't help.. lol But I am carrying a bottle of water around now. Maybe like you said to wait a little longer since I am new to this.

I sure hope it gets all back soon cause some of the flavours I have well they dont even come close to what they are supose to taste like right now. I am not even gonna say what one of them taste like to me cause it's nasty.. lol

I did read that vg makes it smoother but clogs cartomizers.. I guess I should wait a little longer and go from there

Yup, when I first started I wasn't sure what all the hype was about because my first two flavours I tried tasted somewhere between nasty and diaper! But trust me when I say that it does get better, and when you start to get your tastebuds back you will feel like a kid at Christmas again because you will be enjoying tastes you forgot ever existed before. And the dry/sore throat you are experiencing is probably only made worse by your cold.

Hang in there and give your body time to adjust to life without analogs, because it's worth it!

If you have a cold, I would hold off ordering Anything until you are over it.

Agree with the other posters. STILL love your Avatar! :) Every time I see it, I smile...

Wait the cold out. My throat felt dry and scratchy for about two months, I was always clearing it. Maybe it was those little hairs in the throat that were burnt off by the SMOKE? Hubby was the same. I like you, started thinking I needed more nic, 'til I started feeling twitchy. We went down in nic and up in PG to give us that hit in the throat, eventually but that wasn't until the month to 6 week mark. We now vape 12 with NO problem. :) Sometimes less. You'll get there hang in there!!

Another thing is you have to find a juice you like.

The first juice I tried ended up being a perfect solution (the Camel by Dekang) as it had a fantastic throat hit and taste. Since then I have tried a dozen or so other juices and none of them compare.

VG juices I find just not as throat hittish and harder to vape. More of a cloud tho. Could be my ego c atty though Ive read they prefer PG juice.

The dry mouth thing goes away. Took me about a week.

One thing I love is I can vape like a madman and I don't wake up with a sore throat like I used to with the stogies. I also work in a lot of dust (fiberglass) and my throat was ultra sensitive to smoking. Vaping is so much better for my internals. So far anyways....Good luck! You will find what works for you eventually, just keep trying.

over a year later and I still vape high nic. some bases people use to make their juices still bother me to this day. that burny throat feeling. and for myself, any artificial sweeteners make things worse. I sound asthmatic when I vape artificial sweeteners.

I tell you, perhaps its a case of being a dude's dude and not wanting to get my balls busted, but the idea of vaping something named after a sweet treat my wife would cook for me just doesn't work.

Like you I was a 2+ pack a day smoker. I started at 24mg and went up to 36 for a short while I have now found that 12mg at 5v in a tank with a 1.7ohm carto is my absolute sweet spot. I never thought that I would find lower nic more satisfying but vaping seems to be a extremely personal experience. All my juices are at least 50% VG and vari volt is your friend just up or down your voltage as you need a stronger or weaker hit through out the day instead of switching juices.
