High pitched whine when vaping

Hi guys,

I have an Aspire Atlantis sub ohm tank. When i vape below 20watts, my e cig is emitting a high-pitched whining noise. It doesn't always emit this noise, but it has been emitting more frequently nowadays. When it emits this noise, less vapor comes out as well as less flavoring. Anyone faced this problem before? Any tips in solving?

This is probably caused by the device pulsing the electrical current because you're vaping below the battery's current voltage and it doesn't have true step down circuitry. It's pretty common actually.

I sometimes hear high pitched whining when I'm making big clouds, but it always stops when my wife leaves the room.
