Hey all - I'm mildly new to vaping - around four months or so... As I've cruised the thread of posting your set up, I see some really high quality clearomizers and tanks. Where is the best place online to order or find high quality clearomizers?

Currently, I'm using an MT4 and iClear 30. Surprisingly... I'm liking the MT4 slightly more. The iClear 30 is cool and all, but there's just something about it...

Anyway, thanks - and any recommendations for clearomizers? I'm thinking I prefer bottom-coiled ones.

[EDIT]: I am somewhat interested in cartomizers, but it seemed like initially, whenever I went out and bought one from a local vaping store, it just didn't work well at all. Maybe I didn't start the cartomizer right? I'm just not really informed all that much with that style of vaping... So any info on cartomizers and high quality cartomizer tanks would be appreciated.

not sure what you mean buy high quality IMO high quality is not a descriptive term Id use to describe a clear o. People tend to like ViVi Novas and Kanger products best I like rebuild able tanks such as the Kayfun 3.1 and the GG Ithaka Those can be described as high quality but they have a high price also.

Kanger has redesigned the T3 and the MT3 BBC's to be like the Pro Tanks and Evods, in that the coil portion is threaded into the base. They say this has solved or at least greatly reduced issues prevalent with the old MT3 and T3 style. Maybe give either of those a whirl. I have lots of T3's and the only real issue I've had with them is some flooding and leaking, but since my Pro Tanks don't ever leak for me and rarely ever flood I'm guessing the redesign has hopefully resolved that - I'm planning on refitting my clearos with the new T3s bases and coils as soon as I can get them at my local B&M (next week I'm told).

Having tried most every "clearomizer" I moved to bridgeless dripping atomizers. Now using the rebuild able dripping atomizers to save on replacement costs. I never really liked any of the clearomizers for one reason or another. Either they leaked, had horrible flavor and dry hits(the worst), or would work for awhile then suddenly suck. By simplifying I was able to get more reliable results. If I had to choose I would go with the kanger EVOD or vivi nova mini v2. They can be inconsistent in quality though with one working fine and the next three poorly.

What are bridgeless dripping atomizers? My iClear 30 wicks are burning out so quickly! Someone suggested vaping it at 4.4v+ (I have 2.2 ohm wicks) since it is dual coil. I've ran through three wicks in about a week. I'm a moderate vaper. Now my MT4...er, well, it's MT3 actually, right? Is flooding, flooding, flooding... Clearomizers are giving me a bad time right now. Never had so many problems. I guess high quality clearomizers just don't exist lol. What are some good tanks/cartomizers in that case? I don't mind dishing out a good sum of money if it's less problematic and worth it.

Go get a real nice philinac cartos tank and a boge f16 or ikenvape cartos around 2ohms single coil. A night and day difference from regular cartos. Not joshing you eather i used to use smoktech dual coil cartos and recently switched to boge f16 and holy crap i can taste my juice now! I want to get my hands on some ikenvape cartos but geting those are like hunting unicorns.

Clearos are plroblematic they all leak and flood and burn juice
i switched back to cartos tanks because they arw reliable and give a good warm flavorfull vape with the right cartos installed
i used to be a big fan of like you say high end Clearos like the evod nova and protank. . . Protank probably the best one and the easyest to fix and rebuild but got tired of all the bull that comes with them. If i want to screw with an atomizer all day i will just take my genisis with me to work.
so i would recomend a boge f16 carto in a nice glass philinac tank with ss end caps but if i must recomend a Clearo that i think is the best it would be the protank or the protank knockoff, its easy to clean its glass and the coil can be rebuilt anyway you want when it dies out. Cotton silica Nextel or steel mesh witch makes it perfect for someone looking to get into rebuildables because you can practice with it building coils and if you canter get it right just pop a premade one in and try again later.

There is no such thing as a real good clearomizer, they all as good as the coil and wick and the quality of production and I've found nothing but bad coils and crappy wicks in virtually all the clearo's I've handled with the exception of a few OK ones. The protanks IMO are the best coil wrapping I've come across but they still need to be tweaked with a pin or tweezers. The CE4,5 and even some cartos are horribly manufactured.
You can only vape those burning hotspot coils for so long before you decide to start building your own coils, its super simple and hunderd fold in improvement in vape quality. Both kanthal wire and ekowool wick can be bought thru ebay, youtube is the most valuable asset in DIY. Now I don't even bother with the stock coils, I just remove them and replace with my own build and save my throat that nasty dry hit caused by those chitty stock coils.

right on.
And half the damn coils meter way out of spec i mean they all say 1.8 right on them but all meter out to 2.2 or over some as high as 2.6 really comeon. Where is the QC. If i wanted a 2.6 i would have ordered 2.6 i would hate to see how the 2.5 ohm ones meter out lol lol what 3.5 ohms lol
and if i wanted to rebuild something out the box why not just buy a genisis clone for a few bucks more? Rediculuss imho.

If the quality control on the protank heads were a lot better and it was made from stainless steel and not cheaply plated brass it would be the best mass produced nicotine deliverie system on the market hands down. But for now i am going to stick to agi aga and igo style attys when i want to rebuild something it only makes since.

As for it being the best mass produced Clearo on the market that is true and also a bad thing for us vapors. It shows that most of thease companies dont give a crap about QC even the ones with the best products arnt that good. Why cant is be solid stainless? why cant they slow down and make the replacement coils right? i am shure nobody hear would mind paying 10$ more for the protank if it were made from medical grade ss and the coils were perfect everytime and lasted like they should. The extra money it would cost us as the consumer to pay for this QC would be well worth it

I got a few of thos cheap baby evods from fasttech and I'm very surprised on how well they work, too bad they are 1.6 mil and you can boggart a clerofull in a very short time. My wife loves those evods and has to take juice to work with her.
Between the protank and evods or bottom feeders they are called, I'm going to shelf all my CE4,5 clero's. Until there is new developments, I'm sold on the bottom feeder addys.
I got some of the DCT tanks and have had no luck with them, if they aren't flooding they are leaking. Yet some have had nothing but success with them...go figure. I've taken those apart to see how they tick..You are able to run a long pin from the top and thru the bottom center pin, use a old ego battery and wiggle the top tube off and explore the inside of a dual coil carto, then run a pin through before you put it back together so everything is aligned, but the frikken thing still floods.

Hey if you bought the smoktech dcc tanks then all you need to do is ditch the smoktech dcc cartomizers they are complete junk. Another co with REALLY bad QC

junk those smoktech dual coil cartos and slide a boge f16 flanged single coil carto in the tank. The boge f 16 carto fits perfect in the smoktech tank. It will make a world of difference. The boge cartos give way more flavor and vapor you can hear them cracking and popping the second you hit the button.

If you can try a 5 pack of ikenvape tank cartos platnum series i think they are. Ikenvape has the best highest quality cartos and attys on the market right now.

Every smoktech dcc carto i have pulled apart to date has had crooked coils coils warped and even coils overlapping or toching eachother. most heat up uneven like this one coil heats up faster than the other significantly. I pulled some apart and screwed them onto my device without the tube and filler and almost always one coils heats up quicker than the other or hotter than the other pluss they only run at half the wattage so even though you set your device to 8 watts each coil is only getting 4 lol

Many many thanks to everyone! My MT3 is finally working right... and my iClear 30 will be sitting for a lifetime until I decide to mess around with it. Darn wicks.

All of you really helped. I'm going to check out the ProTank by Kanger and probably order one with my next paycheck. The BOGE F16 tank looks really nice too! I'm just not sure how you start up cartomizers, don't you wet the cotton in the middle? Also, are all of the cartomizer wicks or whatever interchangeable? ANNND... do the BOGE F16 tanks work with the general eGo 510 batteries?
