Does anyone do this on their regulated devices? I've got my drippers in the .8 range on my dna 30 mod and they are ok, but the battery life on my VTC4's suck at that range. I was thinking about building a higher ohm resistance next time I do a rebuild and just curious as to what kinda mileage others have gotten? I'll probably ending up using some twisted 32 gauge since it's what I have on hand to get a 1.5 ohm dual coil. I think I'll need about 8 wraps on a 3/32 to get there without having coils that are to bulky.

I don't use a dripper on my Cloupor 30watt, but I build for it with a similar desired effect in mind.

I've found using larger coils for higher resistance on it give a great vape. Current build in my Expromizer is 1.3Ω. It is about 13 or 14 wraps of 26ga wire with a 2.2mm ID. (Huge coil!) Heats up real quick vaping 20-25 Watts.

I imagine this coil would chuck some vapor in a wide open dripper setup. In my Expromizer, it's just an awesome vape. :)

I would love to see your results.....

My Magma clone should come tuesday or wed, so I'll build it with the above build and report back. My .8 ohm plume viel hits really nicely in the 25 w range, but I can literally watch the battery drop. I hate working with the 32 gauge wire, but using a 28 or 26 makes for ridiculously long or wide coils.

....but that's what you want. More surface area.

EDIT: Ok, maybe that's not what you want, but that's what I want. More coil surface area = more vapor.

So I got my magma clone today, I have two 28 gauge coils, wrapped 12 coils around a 1/8 screw driver (approx), coming in at 1.2 ohms. I put a pretty strong flavor in it (Fireball whiskey, more fire, less whiskey unfortunately, not bad though) and at 22.5 watts and 5.2V it hits pretty solid. At 25 watts it hits like a truck. Not getting quiet the plumes of vape I was hoping for but the flavor is definitely there. The juice is a 60/40 pg/vg blend so I think at a 30/70 mix it might smooth it out a bit. But all in all, I think I'm gonna rebuild my drippers for higher ohms until I get a mech (for aesthetic reasons).

I don't like those large-size drippers, they're too airy for me. But I recently got an Igo-S, and that lil thing is just right, small chamber, tight draw. I build coils for it pretty close to those I build for my Kayfun, since I got the Igo-S to be my juice taster. Although, for my Kayfun, I use a 7/64 bit, and the Igo-s is so small, I used a 3/32 bit, but the ohms are identical, 1.8Ω. I like the way it vapes MUUUUUUCH better than that Caterpillar I got a few months ago, can't stand that thing.

Some of the clones come with a battery. They can suck. Use a good 20a battery and you should be ok.
Dual 28g 12 wrap 7/64 bit 1.4ohm 25-30w on DNA 30. Works well. Won't win a cloud contest, but is by no means a weak setup.
