I just ordered a custom blend of strawberry lemonade 48mg nic e-juice & I'm wondering how much the flavor will be effected by that much nic? I'm assuming it'll have a massive throat hit.. any input would be helpful. I'm trying 48mg nic in hopes that it'll help with my morning craving of a real CIG.. the 48mg won't be an adv, just for mornings..

Yeah I know I need to be careful with it. My goal is to be able to take 2-3 rips on it in the morning, and be good for a couple hours.. If I have to I might dilute it a bit.. I've heard lots of stories of ppl vaping that much nic, and causing them to naturally put their PV down more.. not constantly sucking on it like a binky. We'll see what happens!

Good idea...might work...

or you might become more of a nicotine junkie, I wouldnt do it...Just stick to the slow safe ladder from 24mg to 6 or 0...and your cravings will naturally decrease. I've been vaping for a month and 24 is already sickening to me and I used to smoke over a pack a day.

LIke I've said here before, I thought the same thing you are thinking just 3 weeks ago and I ordered the "super high" nicotine e-liquid in 36mg/ml, then I tried it out and realized it was much too high in nicotine. I smoked for almost 25 years and I smoked full flavor menthols. Yet I immediately found that 12mg/ml is perfect for me. I am truly surprised anyone even sells 48mg/ml e-liquid that isnt an unflavored nicotine additive for DIY.

I'd just stay away from that. Just get 24mg if you really think you need it, then take more drags of it. But I doubt you really need as much nicotine as you think. With only vaping about 1.5 - 2ml's per day of 12mg e-liquid I have been able to quit with no problem.

Yep. I just ordered more e-liquids that I started using to make my own blend, and I ordered all of it in lower nicotine concentrations than before, as it came out around 15mg/ml when I first made it last week. I want the next batch to be around 9-10mg.

Nic somtimes has a "peppery" taste to it, at that high a lvl, it will likely effect the taste somewhat.

We have been brainwashed that Nicoteen is THE only reason we smoked. It is my belief it is only like 25% of the whole.
A good bit of it is the act, the hand to mouth.
Another part is the mouth stimulation, the "taste". Strawberry lemonade is a very light flavor, you might want to try a more full bodied flavor for the mornings. Something that hits the lower taste notes as well as the high notes. A sweet tobacco, a creamy Java. Something that has the whole choir singing, not just the sopranos.

On another note, you might want to try some juice with WTA (whole tobacco alkaloids) for that morning vape. I have not used WTA juice myself, but many have had great luck with it. My personal oppinion is that WTAs have got to be safer thien 48mg juice.

Thanks for the reply. What exactly is the WTA I've been hearing about and what's different about it?

Yeah 12mg will probably give the same nic intake for a regular smoker, at least that's what I think from reading around...but I understand that it's not easy to calculate vaping to smoking nic intakes. However, the cig has more chemicals and higher nic helps give the hit of the other "missing" less addictive poisons....I thought I needed 24, but 18mg was enough for me, and I can live off 12mg.. 48 is unimaginable for me.

I am saying this because, sure, whatever makes you quit smoking, but I feel that many people have increased their nicotine addiction by going 24mg and higher...12mg-18mg covers the nic intake for most heavy smokers I would say.

12-18mg is safe for ALL day vaping. That means you're consistently inhaling throughout the day & you're not getting nic'd out. Smoking cigarettes is nothing like that. Cigs are smoked in 'breaks'. So I feel like if I want to vape the way I smoked cigs, there needs to be more punch.. we'll see what happens, this is all trial & error. Either way, I'll report back my results & people can learn from me :)

Please read up on the symptoms of nicotine sickness so you will know them before you try this.

Every single poster is telling you it is too high, but if you really don't want to listen at least know that absorption from vapor may take a bit longer than you are expecting and to take it slow, know the symptoms of sickness and stop before you get ill.

That said, I wish you good health and safe vaping.

It's hard to vape like you smoke for many reasons. But I suppose the biggest one is the mechanical issue, most tanks/cartos/clearos hold much more "hits" than a cig, and dripping holds about 30%-50% of the number of hits per refill. Though for me I guess it was easier to transfer my habits...since I dont smoke much when I go out, but when I am home on my computer or just chilling with friends I chain smoke. Vaping has been more or less the same pattern for me.

Of course there was always the issue of the morning cigarette, and I have to admit I have found no replacement for that. I would still have to agree with the poster that mentioned that it might be better to have an actual cig in the morning over hitting 48mg...I actually found it even easier to quit once I had the urge to just "hold" a cig...I had 3 or 4 cigarettes during my first 2 days, and I put them down after 2 hits cause I found them too disgusting. Worked for me, might work for you...

Just saying, 48mg could potentially lead to nicotine poisoning, even if you take only a few hits, that's such a high concentration for each hit. You're thinking about it in terms of your total nicotine intake per day...which is fine, but you gotta consider nicotine in take per time frame as well. Think about it this way, do you think it's safe to just concentrate all your daily nicotine in a single hit, and let your body absorb all of it in a few seconds? you might not be there, but you're twice as close to it than what most people here consider to be the maximum relatively safe amount.

I appreciate the concern & I have done research on this. I can't remember where but I read a thread on another site where ppl were discussing juices with this amount of nic & it helped greatly with vape addiction. Most of the ppl who tried it said they naturally picked up their vape less and less due to being satisfied off those few high nic hits. 48mg juice obviously can't be heavily vaped, and should be used with extreme caution. I am well aware & I will report back my results.

I smoked 6 mg Ultra Lights at 1.5-2 packs a day. For some reason I started out vaping at 24 mg. Within the first few hours I had to get in the bed. I was sooo nic sick. And I had a constant headache. I then went to 18 mg. It was better but I had a lot of hot flashes. Could be my age (lol). I'm at 12 mg now. I think I'll go between 18 and 12 until I figure it all out for me. The 24 was just too much. At 12 mg I vape much more though. Good luck!
