Highping, I would be interested in your opinion (and anyone else's opinion) of the Prodigy V2 used w/ a 501 atty. It apparently operates at 4.5 v to 5.25 v. I saw that you like the 501 at 5 v. I've been using stock batts (mega batts) for quite some time (due to the appearance vs a large unit) and a passthru at home, but am ready to go to my 1st batt. mod. I would like to make a good decision for my first try. The Prodigy V2 appeals to me because the batts are protected, and the moderately high voltage seems like a good place to start. Opinion???

I know Im not HighPing but........Its awesome, I use it w a 510 atty, and a SuperT TTip for dripping. The TTips work great bc I dont have to remove it to drip. I have found that dripping is the best method for avoiding the dreaded "burnt" taste at HV. On the other hand, blue foam/polyfill/spring mod are great for 3.7v, Ive haad luck w any method BUT dripping at 3.7v...HV vaping LOVES dripping. The voltage is awesome as well. I LOVE my Chucks but the V2 really DOES give a NICE in-between vape. I like it ALOT! When I want 3.7v or 6v, Chucks all the way but this Prod V2 is NIiiCE for those times I want the middleground...Excellent quality product and a price I can live with! Honestly, I got spoiled with the quality of the Chucks....I have to say the V2 is of EXCELLENT quality to the point I was super surprised! Of all my mods, The V2, SB and Chucks are the best made mods made....now, I DO have a GG on the way too and Im SURE just from the pics its of excellent quality as well ;)

Hey Cruisedoc
Sorry I haven't responded to your thread until now. I just happened upon it tonight.

I can't really tell you about the V2. That's one I don't have yet. I can say that the 510 is a really nice vape at 5V though.
I do 5V with a desktop power supply that I can set to anywhere from 0-15V. It makes it easy to dial in the perfect voltage for any given atty. And when I say perfect, I mean perfect for me (it's all a matter of personal opinion). But IMO, I find that the 510 starts getting a little harsh and burnt when I go to 6V. 5V seems to be the sweet spot.

However...
The HV attys that are being sold lately are changing things a little. HV 510's will vape even better at higher voltages like 6V and 7.4V (depending on what atty you get) than stock 510's vape at 5V.

Personally, if I were buying a new mod, I would get something that will take large and small batteries. That is going to give you the most versatility. Buying a strictly 5V mod is going to limit your choices some.

Again sorry I didn't respond sooner. You're in good hands with crash though...Hi crash :)
