I do 2-3 week long backpacking trips a year. Usually I bring a ziplock bag with 6 ounces of chew. This year I want to be ready. I have been going through a couple options. I want the lightest most reliable option available. I do own a few power banks that I bring with me to keep my iphone charged. So far I've come up with 2 ego twists and a power bank. Or get 5 egos to bring with me. My MVP and a power bank which is a heavy option. Or my m16 and bring 5 18650 batteries with me. Again kind of heavy. I am open to any input.
Ps by heavy I mean over 8 ounces

they make a small case with a built in solar panel for charging. Break it out when you stop and you can keep a few egos charged all the time.

I actually have messed with one of these. Unfortunately in my experience they are more of a novelty than anything. If I'm lucky I get 0.5w output. And in densely forested areas they are worthless. I do own a snow lizard and a few other larger Li-on packs that are awesome.
