Afternoon folks. I'm going to run my youngest out to the strings store to get new strings on her violin. Her school orchestra teacher says her violin doesn't project enough. He's been pushing her to get a different violin but she doesn't want one. Hers is a nice one and we're thinking that new or different strings might help.

I thought I was the only one that went that long without a raise. I'm not quite there yet but getting close. I helped my daughter put the strings on and so far she is very happy with them. I think the sound is louder and more crisp. I asked the guy at the music store and he said that we should probably be replacing strings each year. The old ones were on there for about three years. They are a lot more expensive than guitar strings. I could get at least five or six sets for what one of her sets cost but it's worth it to make her happy. She's more into playing than my oldest daughter was and has consistently been first or second chair.
