Verticut and over seeding is done finally. Now I have to get cleaned up to go to orchestra practice with my daughter. I'm ready for a break.

Every time we rent a Verticutter, people want to jump in last minute and use it. This time my neighbor across the street wanted in last minute. I was fine with that but then he wanted to take it over to his daughter's house to do her lawn. I said ok but make sure it's back by one o'clock and make sure they refund my $100 deposit. Well he got it back by one but they said they couldn't do the refund without my check card. So I'm at orchestra rehearsal with my youngest daughter and have to drive all the way back to the store before six to get my refund. If you can't tell, I'm rather aggravated about the whole thing.
My next door neighbor that I planned it with bought my seed and fertilizer but I need to pay him back. It wasn't worth saving a couple bucks to deal with the Verticutter hassle.

i had to look up verticutting to be sure it was a much of a PIA as i thought it might be. Add in a couple of thoughtless neighbors and it sounds even worse.

Part of the hassle is that there are only a few places that rent them and it's first come first serve so if you really want one then it's best to get there when the store opens. I'm not a very good morning person on the weekends so I really missed sitting around in the morning this weekend catching up on a show or two.
My youngest daughter's orchestra teacher has been trying to plan a school trip for the kids to Hawaii but they didn't end up getting enough people to sign up so now they have changed it to Disney World. I think my wife really wants to go with her but my daughter acted like she didn't want mom to go and my wife got pretty upset about it last night. Of course since I'm insensitive, the anger trickled down to me. Honestly, after just buying my youngest a car and making up the difference on tuition for my oldest, it's a bit of a stretch to come up with the money for two of them to go on the trip. Like I said, I'm insensitive for bringing up the financial end of things.

PT, it'd be nice to actually have the money to send them. Living on a single income isn't always the most fun. I'll make sure my daughter gets to go for sure. If we can manage it then my wife can go too.

One way or another it will work itself out. I just have some anxiety over big expenses like this. I need to figure out how to stop worrying about stuff.
