The weather here has been a little cooler so I got out and did some projects outside. The first square of our walkway off the front porch cracked so I fixed that, weeded the garden, mowed and sprayed a tree we have that was being attacked by Japanese beetles. While I was out the painter left me a voicemail that they are coming tomorrow to put up the trim boards I wanted done. Who knows, maybe it'll be painted in a week or so.
I'm thinking about flying to Ohio in September to help my sister move stuff out of my dad's house. She is already handling so much on her own.

The specs sound good in it. The only experience I have with Acer was a laptop I bought my wife years ago. It was kind of a piece of junk but you can't rule out the brand from one experience. I'm sure it'll be fine.
Good Morning. Fran, if all you are doing is surfing web, e-mail, facebook you don't need too much horsepower. I think a i5 is smack in the middle for processors.
I did another restore on here that has brought me some time. I've got an HP that I bought new about 5 years ago and it's been nothing but problems from day one. I won't buy another.

Do comouter moniters go to crap. Mine is ....ting down I think.Maybe it's not the computer.
I have only seen it once or twice but yes they can go bad. I assume it's a flat screen if it's only five years old? I'm almost embarrassed to say it but I think my dell computer at home is probably about seven or eight years old. I did have to put a hard drive in it a couple years ago but that was only about $80 and it came with software that did an exact copy of my old hard drive.
That's the only reason I haven't bought a Mac yet. When those break you have to take them to the store.
The painters got a lot done already. They put up the trim boards and have the front, one side, and the shutters painted.
Well the shutter color my wife picked turned out navy blue instead of black so I had to call the painter and have them get a new paint to repaint them tomorrow. She's really stressed out over the new paint. Our house was tan before and we went with African gray for the base with cream trim and black (not blue) shutters.
