Heya FC, 43 with rain definitely beats 20 and snowing.

...and my day is off to a special start...waiting on roto-rooter. sigh.

the toilet decided to back up into the tub this morning. Since it was while i was doing laundry, i suspect my attempts to auger the drain a couple of weeks ago were less than completely successful. The plumber is on the way, so either i'm the first emergency of the day, or they bumped me to the head fo teh line when i told them i had only the one bathroom AND have had coffee this morning

Good morning. Sorry about the drain issues. I forgot to unhook the long drain hose on my sump pump outside and it froze. I need to get a bigger hose for winter so it can't freeze.

Will you have to manually defrost it, Hitt? or can you wait for a thaw?

Good morning, we had to defrost our fridge all day yesterday into this morning. We waited for it to get cold enough outside as we put the frozen stuff on the back porch and the refrigerated stuff in the garage. I need to baby this fridge as it was in my garage for 12 years at my other place and do not want to buy one before we leave.

It's supposed to be back in the 40's tomorrow. I've had this problem before and should have bought a heat gun last time. I'm going to go get one and a larger corrugated pipe which should solve my winter freezing problem.

they're almost done with the plumbing here. they had to clear a blockage under the house before they could do the straight pipe that flows out to the sewer . The work hasn't taken horribly long, but there was a two-hour wait before they forst guy got back with an apprentice and the supervisor that runs the drain-cam.

It's good you're getting it taken care of. I'm going to make a trip to the hardware store a little later.

it is good to have it done, even better to have it done before temps in the 20's. It was worth having the professionals do it.

Hope you can get your pipe changed out.

Hope they fixed it for ya CES. We are done with the fridge, seems to be working fine. Had to defrost it at the other house yearly, used to use it just for drinks and e-liquid so not a big deal but now its our one and only fridge. Went up to the Y but too busy.

I got the sump pipe thawed with my new heat gun and now have a 4" corrugated drain tube so it shouldn't freeze again.
