Well looks like you will find a easier time finding a house up that way easier than OKC. We have had 15 showings yesterday and 3 offers, 1st asking price, 2nd $5000 more and the last one all cash $10k more. Got a bunch more today.

Yes, that's going on here too. My new neighbor on my left side got out bid on two houses before buying the one next to me. They just went in with first offer over by some amount and got it. The houses in Pittsburgh KS are set in a more rural type area even though it's a college town. There are several. I can't afford a lot so we are looking at 70k and under to try to keep the payments down. The houses are averaging around 1000-1200 square feet. They are old but have had improvements done. We just need something she can live in for a couple years and then hope to sell for close to what we paid for it. I'm not looking at it as an investment but rather a way to spend less on housing for her. I know she won't want to stay there after college.

Good morning. The start of another work week and I'm not feeling very motivated. My wife and daughter are going to look at houses today. I just called to make sure she was up so she can get there on time to meet my daughter who stayed with the boyfriend for a couple days.

Good Morning. Don't do it if you are uncomfortable/unsure.

I’m just nervous. My wife and daughter looked yesterday and there’s only one that’s decent that we would consider. I told her to call our mortgage company today and see if we can get approved and if we can do VA to get a better rate. I just need to know what the payment would be since we already called the utilities and know about what that would be.

My wife called our mortgage company yesterday and the rep said we can’t use the VA loan and also it would be counted as an investment property which would be a higher interest rate. The more we get into it, the more I’m thinking that we would be better off just looking for a rental apartment or something for my daughter. We might go ahead and apply for a loan just to see where it would put us as far as a payment.
