Good morning. Hitt we are first deciding if we want to come here in 3-4 years. But yeah went to 4-5 open houses yesterday., I don't see how an average family affords a place out here.
I agree. Real estate prices have gone nuts the last few years. It’s bad enough here. I thought about moving to a different house but I’m looking at another 150-200k for the next step up from what I have. I’ve only got 2-3 years left on my mortgage so I’ve decided to just fix up what we have and stay here for the foreseeable future.
Yep, pay that mortgage off. The one thing that was key to my retirement was I had no mortgage on any of my homes including my rental properties. I just don't see how a young couple can buy a house now?
I know. The young couple beside me bought that house 4-5 years ago for double what the original owners paid. I can’t imagine paying that much for a house like that. It’s a 1.5 story a little smaller than ours. I don’t know how my kids will be able to afford to buy a house.
Cost of living has changed dramatically here, it's up in Spain but not this much! Hell, bought a 30cc salt at a retail ecig shop in Ft Meyers the other day- $30! Much cheaper in Spain.
That is expensive. I haven’t been in a retail shop in years. I buy everything online. I’m glad I mix my own. I wouldn’t want to try to afford vaping at $30 a bottle.

Good morning. fran if we move back in 3 years it most likely will be here on the coast of Florida. It's really a paradise for retired folks with a bit of money. Went to a gym the other day and it was packed with 55+ . We are heading back south today.
