I miss being able to run for exercise. My right leg got to the point where it hurt to walk more than half a mile on the treadmill so I added some time on the elliptical. I haven’t been doing much of anything the last couple weeks. Hopefully PT starting later this month helps.

You just have to go everyday your supposed to, there are days I do not want go but I force myself. Just like when I quit cigarettes 2-4 years after I started vaping, I knew it was time and no looking back however I wanted a real Cig from time to time but stuck with it. For sure have not wanted one in 13-15 years.

I got down to one cigarette in the morning for years and finally quit completely a couple years ago. I think my problem was mental and not physical cravings. I just had a really hard time quitting completely. Now I don’t really even think about it. Unfortunately my wife still smokes but it doesn’t bother me.

Glad to hear you finally quit. I'm doing no nicotine e-liquid, no need for blood pressure pills anymore after 30+years.
I’ve managed to get down to 6mg for most liquids except my pod for at work. I still use snus also. Between those two I’ve managed to stay off the cigarettes.

Good afternoon. We had a very rainy day yesterday, today looks better and heat will be back tomorrow. Hitt its nice to be totally nicotine free.
At this point, it’s hard for me to imagine going without nicotine. I’m pretty content with where I’m at now.

Good to hear from you PT. I had my first check up last week in a few years and talked about my sciatica pain in my right leg. He had me get blood drawn and the results were not great. High cholesterol and high a1c. I’m really not surprised as my exercise had been nearly nonexistent the past several months with pain on and off. He recommends cholesterol meds and diet with exercise. I start PT on the 6th so am hoping that helps so I can get back into a regular routine.

Hitt just had my blood drawn also will visit dr next week to go over. Dude cholesterol in itself no problem, LDH being high is no good.
My cholesterol has always been borderline but my LDL was the highest it’s been. I started the medication to see how I handle it. So far no obvious side effects.

Dude if I can recommend do not take medication for that just control what you eat!
I already started it. I haven’t noticed any side effects. Did you have a bad experience? The wife is helping me with my diet and I’m really trying to make changes. I don’t plan on being on it long term.

No I just quit nicotine about 3 weeks ago, I'm vaping only flavor and no nicotine. I have one vape with just 50/50 and no flavor. My body after 40 years of nicotine has spiked my blood pressure up high during the day , cant figure out why?

My blood pressure is fine. I think it was 114 over 71 last time. I have a sweet tooth so that’s probably part of the reason my a1c was high. My cholesterol has historically been a little high but not as high as it is now. We’ve already started altering my diet and I’m not having after dinner snacks in the evening. Plus the wife is trying to cook healthier.

I feel like I didn’t make myself clear on my previous response. I’m not taking anything for the a1c. I’m just taking cholesterol medication. The doctor didn’t recommend taking anything else. I’d be hard pressed to take any diabetic medication. I am trying to do as much exercise as I can stand with the leg pain. That and doing stretches is seeming to help already.
