My oldest daughter and friends of hers drove into town yesterday and were planning on stopping by to see us today. I'm a little nervous about her driving in it. They don't have to go back to college until tomorrow but it's not going to warm up past freezing.
Fran, I'm thinking KS is like OK and not really on the cutting edge of winter road prep. The day after Christmas in Colorado we had a lot of snow but drove to the airport no problem as Colorado knows what to do.
Actually, I'm in MO and not Kansas but they usually do a half way decent job of salting the roads. I just get nervous about my daughter out driving in it. I'm not sure that the road crews are quite as motivated on the weekends since there's no rush hour traffic.
I finished clearing the driveway and the five girls showed up. The original plan was that two girls were going to drive but they all ended up being in one of the other girls car. They stayed for an hour or so and are off to go shopping. They are heading back to school tomorrow.
