I've been putting it off but am going to go out and reorganize the shed and make sure the snowthrower starts.
Hi Fran. I did a quick store run to get some candy to send to my dad. My sister told me that he has developed quite the sweet tooth. He doesn't really do much of anything any more so I thought a card and candy would be good.
Good morning. PT, he's about the same. Still has COPD and doesn't drive or get out much. My sister goes to see him every weekend to do housework and anything else he needs. We still haven't been able to get him to sell his house and move closer to her.
Yep that COPD is not going anywhere, best you can do is manage it. My mom is similar, she is healthy but I offered to help sell her house way before we left. Its 2800 sqft, 3 car 3 bath and a large lot, when my dad was alive they could manage to keep it up but difficult for her now. She still insists on staying.
My dad's house isn't that big but he has to pay to have everything done. It doesn't make much sense for him to stay there. He has had bad episodes the last two winters that included trips to the hospital. I hope he does better this year. He finally sold his car to my sister for her son to drive but kept his truck even though he hasn't driven in a couple years. He's got a garage full of old craftsman tools and a brand new big snowthrower that I don't think he ever used. He used to like to do small woodworking projects but hasn't been able to in a long time.
