    Somewhere between here and there
My youngest is playing tennis again this year. The school has a $50 sports activity fee which is pretty standard. However, the coach wants all parents to pay another $40 for uniforms and snacks. I'm ok with that. Then Friday my daughter came home with a fundraiser for tennis. I'm rather burned out on fundraisers. I guess they want to buy two sets of uniforms. The fundraiser is supposed to pay for the second one. I brought it to work but doubt if I'll sell even five. Most of the people are tight with money. I can however always count on my boss and one other guy to help.

You've got that right. About 70% of our personal property tax goes to the school also. The thing that gets me is that everything is online or email now so they hardly ever print or send anything printed home so they are saving all of that money on supplies. We have to end up printing everything on our printer at home and I'm sure you know how expensive printer cartridges are. Most of the kids books and homework is online since they give them laptops to use. That's another fee kinda. They offer insurance on the MacBook air computers for $50. It's worth it though. If the kid damages the computer you could have to pay 800-1000 to replace it. With the insurance it's covered.
