We had some below zero temps a few weeks ago and the humidifier on the furnace was running a lot. I'm not sure if that's what caused it but the sheetrock cracked under a window in my daughter's room where a joint was. I cleaned it out and taped it yesterday. I still need to do a couple coats and I hope it comes out ok. I'm not very good with sheetrock repairs.

A couple light coats of Durabond and a little sanding............

Sounds like maybe you've done that before. My last attempt at sheetrock repair didn't go so well. I'm hoping for better results this time.

Try not to put too much compound on and make sure it's wide enough so you can feather it out. To do it right will take at least 2 coats,sanded in between.

Yup,I've done that a time or two.

Thanks for the advice. I can sure use it. I did the first coat over the tape tonight and will sand and put another coat on tomorrow.

When you think you have it smooth then run your fingers over it lightly so see if it feels smooth. Some people are better than others with the sense of touch........

Good morning,Hitt and PT We had wind all day yesterday and I was lucky to keep power.Still a little breezy but dying down.It's a cold 10 and only going to a sunny 17 before dropping below 0 tonight. I've had enough winter.

I had a really tough day at work today. I got stuck working on a big machine that I haven’t worked on before that’s a different brand than what I normally do and I think it melted my brain.

It took me a few hours but after wading through the mess of wires I found that one of the windings was shorted in the generator and the part was discontinued. I called him and suggested he take it to a rewind shop.

Good morning. School got cancelled today again. We got freezing rain. I’m so sick of driving to work in bad weather.
