Good luck with the roof! Fran I do miss the wifey but we are used to it. I did go mow a friends yard today, its been 5 years since I've mowed!
We’re probably about due for a new roof anyway. Hopefully the inspector agrees and insurance takes care of it and the little bit of water damage.
A lot of power outages here yesterday due to wind but it wasn’t bad right here where we are.

Good morning. It was high winds here yesterday also. The insurance company said to call a roofing company and gave us a short list of companies. I was unaware that at some point our deductible was raised to 1400. If we need a new roof it’s going to be a lot more than that so it is what it is. A lot of times companies will work with the homeowner on the deductible so we’re going to call the company we used last time the roof was replaced and one from the list and see what happens.
I sure hope so anyway. I get very anxious about stuff like this but have to let my wife call and make the appointments since she is the one that will have to be there when they come to do the estimates. She has a doctors appointment Wednesday and the kids are coming home for a visit this weekend so I doubt she will have anyone come before next week but I just can't stop thinking about it. I'll text her later to remind her to at least call and get appointments for people to come to give estimates.
My wife did call the roofing company we used before and someone is coming to look next Wednesday.
Not yet. We're going to get one quote at a time. I didn't really feel very confident with some of the companies that the insurance recommended after reading reviews online about them. The one that was first on the list had several bad reviews.
I was just thinking about doing it to keep insurance company happy.
The lady she talked to acted like she didn't care who we called. My wife mentioned the company we used before and she said that was a good one too.
