I wanted to make a seprate thread for this question.

I am still trying to find 3 jars, or some sort of air tight container that I can use to hold my pg/vg/nicotine while mixing.

So i have the big jugs that I buy online. And I want to just refill the little jars with them so I can leave the big jugs put away until I need to refill the smaller ones I use for mixing.

What I want to find is like... 3 test tubes with caps, and then a stand that they sit in, so they cant get knocked over and it can sit on my desk like a display stand.

I dont like opening up the nicotine and using the syringe to extract the nicotine, I always am scared I might knock it over.

And then I want to find another stand for the syringes. Sort of like if you were to imagine a block of wood, and I drilled tiny holes into it, so when I am done with the syringe, I can stick the needle part into the hole in the wood block, and it will keep the syring standing up right, and look like its on display again like all the rest of the stuff.

If I could find something either glass, or clear or plastic / acryilic just like the other stands, and cases etc that I am using to organize the rest of my flavors and all that.

If you have a "Name" of what I am looking for that would help to, I feel like its hard to explain what I want, cus I dont even know if it exists. Like for the jars, Imagine a block of wood on the desk, and it has 3 "cup holder" size holes cut into it, and then I have 3 empty mason jars that I set into the holes, Fill the jars with my various liquids, and then be able to use that while mixing rather than the big jugs. And then just refill them every couple weeks as they run low.

I have no idea what exists out there that I could be able to say "This" is what I am trying to find.

My problem that I am trying to avoid, on top of being scared of knocking the stuff over while mixing, which is why I want to find not only a jar, but holders / displays for the jars.

But I wanted to use the jars becuse, like my big 250ml jug of VG, once that stars getting past the point where I can get the end of the syringe down in it, like after its a 1/4 empty, How do you suck up the juice into the syringe if it doesn't reach cus the level is too low? And thats why I want to find smaller containers to keep refilling so I can get the syringe all the way to the bottom of it, or almost anyway.

Drive yourself a little crazy and check out lab supply companies like Cole Parmer! You'll discover a million a one things you never knew you needed, along with the material you actually do!

LAB SUPPLIES!!!! ABSOULTELY RIGHT ON THE MONEY! Plus thats sort of the look I am shotting for once everything is all set up and organized, I want it too look like my own little labratory with everyhing on display and on stands and all pretty to look at.. I think that would look so sick.

So that would lead me to... What are some cheap supply websites to look at on top of the one that you recommended? (Im guessing its going to be like colepalmer.com or something like that), Ill google it here in a little.

At least I figured out the name of what I am trying to find, Lab supplies. lol, I dunno why I was blanking on that.

Appreciate the help.

The mixing station in the next to the last photo in your "Homemade DIY Tools" is totally brilliant. Seriously, that deserves a design award.

  • Most or all of the materials can probably be found at thrift stores and yard sales for next to nothing. But even if everything was bought new, it would still be dirt cheap.
  • Major kudos for secondary containment/spill protection.
  • If you did have a spill, you could take it outside and hose it off.
  • It's totally portable, and could even be moved with capped bottles on it (within limits, of course).
  • The holders can be easily fashioned to precisely fit whatever bottles and containers you have. No measurements required!
  • Everything is firmly held, so accidental nudging it is not a problem.
  • Screwing down the holders allows you to change them if you get new bottle sizes.

And certainly the same thing could be done for other mixing applications beside DIY e-juice. Thanks for sharing that.

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, this was inexpensive - they all were!. I have been told that this looks more like a "junkies workstation".

Personally, I think if it was spiffed up a bit and container holders were made to fit bottles from a specific vendor, that vendor could sell it for $50, at least, especially with a few options on configuration available. You could even put the vendor's logo on it for them, or let them do it. I have don't know if the labor and materials required would make that worth the effort though, but I suspect not.

And I don't think junkies would have much use for it, really. My understanding is that they are usually OK with a dirty spoon, a lighter, and water from a toilet tank.
