When my kids were little, we always had a birthday party for baby Jesus on the 24th and all the neighborhood kids were invited. I think we will do another this year but for grown ups. I lost a cousin I was very close to on Labor Day to breast cancer, then my MIL the end of Oct to lung cancer and she had never had a cigarette to her lips nor worked around 2nd hand smoke. I still have my parents and my pops will be 100 in March. My friends here all seem to have been dealing with a lot of loss and not so positive change too. Perhaps we need to get together and enjoy the good things we have. I am thinking stuffed flounder with grilled veggies and let someone else deal with dessert and wine. For those that can't be here, they will be here in our hearts.

12/10 #2 I remember on Christmas Eve I opened my biggest present and it was an ironing board..I had to wait for Christmas morning to open my iron so I didn't get to play with anything that night!!
