home made e-liquid ?

im new to the electronic cigarette . and im not heavy regular smoker 7-10 cigarette per day.

i have decided to try the e-cig.. i have made my search . i bought the cheapest one. just to make a try. i bought 502 model.
liked the idea of vapping.

but.. not satisfied with the model AT ALL. the battery is bad. the atomizer is bad. and need a very regular change -every couple of days- !! the cartridges are fine. anyway...

I decided to change my e-cig. made my research. figured out that the EGO-T is widely accepted. i placed my order for the starter kit + 5 artomizer + 30 plastic cartridges + 10* 50 mil of e-liquid.

the bad news... the custom office didnt allow me to have the e-liquid !!!
now i have the device itself. without any liquid.

is there is any way to make the liquid in-house ? i can go without any nicotine level. because i already try the zero nicotine for the 502 and it was acceptable.

You can use a mix of Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerine (80% - 20% is a good mix). This is the base for most e-liquids before adding nicotine to it. These can be purchase from health stores (VG) and some farming suppliers (PG). You get the idea - freely available ingredients so to say.

Just make sure you use pharmaceutical grade liquids

Welcome to ECF and sorry about your problems luaymaani. Yes if you're not using any flavorless nicotine juice it is safe. For VG go to Pharmacy and buy Glycerine USP. For PG either a Farm Supplier or you can special order at the Pharmacy. Make sure both are USP (Food Grade).
Mix either 70/ 30 PG/ VG or 80/ 20 PG/ VG. The VG gives the vapor while the PG gives the Throat Hit (TH) and Lung Hit. VG is very thick so following the above percentages you should be ok.

Was there nicotien in the liquid you ordered? You could try to order some with 0% nic, customs shouldn't take that.

I wish I had more to offer you, but I'm a newb. I'm sure the above advice is great, and there'll be more to come. I'll follow this as its something I want to learn eventually as well.

the nicotine level was 18 mg as i remember. but i order this one from china .. and their bottles are really strange. nothing written on it. just the flavor. -mint in my case- and the level of nicotine. anyway.. it is not about nicotine.. it is about the liquid itself. the bad thing that they dont speak english in north cyprus. and i dont speak turkish. so. communication is really hard.

i went to the grocery store. and i found on the shelf the -Vegetable Glycerine- but it was only pure Glycerine nothing else.
i dont see any USP sign. i took a pics . but i think it is what needed -not sure though-.. because it is written that "suitable for vegetarians"
and i saw on the same shelf something called "pepper mint extract" from the same vendor. the ingredient : alchohol, water, extract of pepper mint ... can i use these .. i love mint flavor i have uploaded the pics i took on flicker

Actually im in north Cyprus. the turkish part of cyprus.
and as far as i can tell. the whole e-cigarette thing is not allowed here. and there is no proper rules in here.
i asked the custom about the e-cig .. they said ok... i bought the 502. and they didnt even open the package!!! after that.. i ordered the ego-T with those liquids.. they allow me to take the kit. but not the liquid. they asked me to take permission from the ministry of health. i went to the other city. asking there for permission for personal use. they kept sending me from one department to another. with finally said.. that the device it self is forbidden i was like OMG... who set the rules in this country !! seems like every man for him self. so i went back home wondering if ill vape using the ego-T

Do yourself a favor and search for USP grade. It is neccessary for your health. Good luck with your mixing! Buy a cheap 5mL or 10mL syringe for accurate measurement of your e-liquids.

Yes that looks like USP but better to buy it in a Pharmacy in the First Aid/ band aid Section IMHO. If you border the PG from athe Pharmacy tell them it's for making soap as you are allergic to regular soap. My wife bought mine and she took a recipe in just in case but had no problem with the Pharmacist. The peppermint has oil in it and is not recommended for vaping. It is advised to only use water based flavors. I use menthol drops or menthol crystals (crystals have to be diluted in PG). You shouldn't have any problem importing flavors as they are non nicotine and are used for baking and cooking. Here's a reputable company in Poland where I order my flavors from:

Edit: for measuring buy an Oral Med Dispenser from Walmart. Coat with clear nail polish so the juice does not remove the printed numbers. Can also be used for the Taryn Spin on Cartos.

You might want to search for glycerin (vegetable glycerin, VG) and propylene glycol (PG) that is marked "EP", rather than "USP". EP is the European Pharmacopeia. It might or might not be marked USP, but should be EP.

In both cases, the ingredients should be just glycerin or PG, 99.5% or higher.

In the US glycerin is commonly found near bandaids in pharmacies, might be called Glycerin Skin Protectant. It is clear, thick, should have no other ingredients.

I don't know about peppermint, but menthol crystals can normally be found, or at least should be importable without problem. Menthol crystals dissolve much better in PG or high strength drinkable plain alcohol (pure grain alcohol or a high proof vodka) than in VG. A little bit of menthol crystals is all you need to get a strong menthol flavor.

Thank you all for your help. However, there is no single place who offer propylene glycol in north cyprus. i went to drug stores. pharmacies, hospitals... and no one have any clue !! anyway. i tried to brought this from outside cause i see it on the net 950 ml Propylene Glycol [pg950] | DudaDiesel Biodiesel Supplies
but they refuse to let me import it!! i submitted my request but they have rejected it ! So... nothing in hand here. i will wait until i go back to my country and search for it there.

Make sure to read the "stickies" or top posts that are permanently attached. They will teach you a wealth of knowledge.

Also, This site perfumers apprentiance/ flavor apprentiance commonly referred to as PA ships flavors world wide(except for Italy, that country's restrictions). Water soul- able(sp?) tend to be easiest to work with flavors. Reading up in the DIY forum will explain all that about which flavors to use and not to use. Don't let their name scare you either. They've made a DIY section. I think they just happened to to have flavorings that can also be used for perfume that worked with DIY and unknowingly stumbled into the vaping market some time ago. Their flavors are cheap, and delicious.

Plenty of us in the vaping community DIY or homemade eliquid as you put. Just make sure you are using food grade USP products for both PG/VG bases and flavorings ... you will have to experiment with strength once you get your supplies. ECF has many resources and helpful info for any doing it yourself.... Good Luck!

In my opinion, a good start to make e-liquid is:
- use only PG/VG pharma grade
- use only tabacco flavouring concentrate liquid

Then, try a 50/50 VG/PG base with 5% volume flavouring.
Then you can increase flavouring.
