This juice vendor is going to be on the rise soon if they keep cranking out juices as good as this one. At the suggestion of my ECF friend, MsComptrtchr, I got myself some Honey Pearry from The Vapor Chef, a blend of honeydew, pear, and strawberry.
My order: 70vg/30pg at 6mg and mixed on 6/27/2013. These notes are my vaping experience on 7/2/2013. We all know taste is subjective, but this is my experience...
Look: Nothing significant about the color of the juice, a pale, yellowish green. Rather unassuming with first glance.
Bouquet: It really smells like honeydew, so I had a hunch that this aspect of the flavor would take center stage.
Taste: Wow, wow, wow. The bouquet doesn't lie: the honeydew is front and center. This juice punches even at the higher vg level of 70%. The pear is next in the flavor profile lingering in the background, and for me, the strawberry hits just at the end with a touch of balanced sweet and tart. Overall, it's got just layers of flavor that come in waves. This might be a bit strong for an ADV flavor, but I could definitely see myself vaping this on the front porch with a cool beverage (iced tea maybe or club soda or some white wine) on a hot, Saturday afternoon.
Vapor: Clouds are hazing up my room from my choice of the higher vg.
Throat Hit: If you've read my reviews before, you know I'm not too concerned with TH, but even with the higher vg and lower nicotine (6mg), the strength of the flavor and the bite of the tartness simulates the TH that higher pg juices would have. I'm actually surprised that it makes me cough a bit.
Value: The Vapor Chef is one of the more expensive juice vendors out there, but they aren't the most expensive. At $20 a 36ml bottle, I can't vape this all day every day, but I can afford to have this on hand for when the mood strikes me. I did get a freebie with my order, so that is incentive as well. Not sure what their minimum order is, but I got one with my $20 order.
Bottom line is this is a nice, little find. So much flavor and so little steep time. I like higher vg juices and am on the hunt for ones that can pack a flavor punch; The Vapor Chef has delivered. Feel free to post any thoughts, contradictions, compliments, bad jokes, good jokes, etc.
