Hooligan Vapes Lemon Meringue Pie tastes burnt

Hey guys,

I am brand new to vaping, and already stockpiling juices. I ordered 30 ml of LMP, thinking it would be amazing, as that is my favourite dessert.

The liquid is very very dark, and it really tastes like burnt marshmallow. I have tried it in my e-smart, and EVOD2, with the same result.

Any suggestions to make it taste better? I'm thinking of putting in a little bit of a strawberry juice that I'm not very fond of, to see if I can get a strawberry marshmallow type of flavour.

Has it had time to steep? One thing to keep in mind, if it's the first time your trying a vapor flavor, order the smallest possible size. That way you can try things without spending a lot.

In my short time vaping, and learning about vaping, I've read that their juices are good right from the get go, but I will try steeping for a couple of weeks to see if it helps!

I got a few 10ml bottles with my starter kit, but was going through a couple of them pretty quickly. I got 30s of the ones that I knew I liked, and just figured I would really like lemon meringue pie too lol. I will say, all of my other hooligan juices are really REALLY good!

If it's a thicker juice it might not be wicking fast enough. Maybe you can adjust your wicking?

Since I still had some of the juice in my tank, I let a few more "experienced" vapers try it. 1 said he thought he could taste a bit of pie crust, and the other one said "oh dear god, it tastes and smells like pipe tobacco". When they were trying it, I could definitely smell a pipe tobacco type of odour.

It is dark like molasses. I personally don't own any tobacco flavours, but one of the guys does, and some of theirs are dark like that as well.

The consensus is that it is most likely a mislabeled bottle. I'm sad. I was really hoping for delicious Lemon. I have liked their other flavours so far though! Strawberry Shortcake is really good, a bit sweet, so not an ADV. Muppets Blood and Monster Smash are both really nice, and enjoyable on a summer day.

I contacted the vendor (Canvape), and they confirmed it is old stock and are sending me a brand new bottle at no charge! They have such good customer service, and I always get a really quick reply to any questions I send them.

Big shout out to Canvape! I'll let you guys know how delicious the new bottle is when I receive it

Citric based liquids tent to give a burned taste more then other e-liquids.
Try to lower yr voltage before trying anything else.

That's really good to know. I have an orange one (70/30), and I find I get a lot more throat hit off of it than my other ones.

I don't have VV (yet!), I'm a n00b so I'm still on my EVOD2 and E-smart. I'm sure an upgrade is coming soon

I was recommended them by my vaping colleague. Their starter kits are an amazing price, way cheaper than I found anywhere else (especially in Canada). They have a good selection of juices, and tons of accessories. If I order on a Sunday, I'll have my package by Wednesday. They give free shipping at $150, and since I'm a sucker for free shipping, I'm stocked up on juices until at least September!

I've ordered from Canvape before too and they have good pricing (some items on par or cheaper than Fasttech), no issues so far.
