Hoping for a few reccomendations

Hi all.
This will be my first post here.
I'm what id like to call a "Semi newbie" e smoker. I have been browsing these forums for a little over a year and a half now, in hopes to find an alternative for the stranglehold regular cigarettes have had on my lungs for so many years. My first experience with vaping was with what i think is a dse 510. I bought it for what i thought was a pretty reasonable price at the time from a UK supplier.
It came in a blue and white box with a little stick figure smoking with a few bubbles coming out.( i think it said super cigarette on the box) This ecig was the best Ive had and probably the cheapest. It was very simple, decently short white battery with a metal atomizer and some brown colored carts that fit over the the atomizer. I used it for 3 months after bieng a pack and 1/2 per day chainsmoker for 10 years. I didnt even want a real cigarette after about a week. It worked perfectly although i was constantly getting juice in my mouth. Finally to my dismay after those 3 months both batteries would no longer work probably due to my intense over/misuse. So thinking i had a little knowledge on the subject having tried and suceeded. I bought a janty kissbox with a manual and regular atomizer switch. the thing barely worked and i payed a fortune. I tried to send it back and couldnt even get a response from the guy. I then went to a few of the more popular sites according to this forum and have had Although, not the same result, similar dissapointments. NONE of the products ive tried have worked correctly in the context of the way i smoke. I began to feel ripped off pricewise, (only after they didnt work for me though because no price could pay for my freedom from regular cigs.)a few of the products were getting to me and just flat out not working(however i will say the customer service has been pretty decent from the referrals ive gotten here).

Ive currently tried the kissbox(imo sucked) some cigars(worked ok but both died within a week. Probably again due to user error) the Joye 510 (which would work great if i could get more than ONE hit without the thing overheating and tasting like burnt rubber) A Dse 901 from china ( didnt work even one time but i didnt pay alot and got a full refund)and then the elusive first time semi nameless mini ecig. ive probaly spent around 500$ after all the acessories /juice etc,for only 3 and 1/2 months of sucessfull esmoking. which has been very frustrating for both myself and my wife =(..
Now if youve read this far through my wall of text maybe you can help me out.
I am currently trying to find an ecig that will work. As in I can puff on it till my face turns blue and switch it out when it dies like my first one. I have no problem buying a new one about every 2-3 months till im dead. which will hopefully be alot longer of a wait if i can find a damn ecig that is reliable:w00t:!
any help will be greatly appreciated because doing this by myself has proven to be a failure 5 out of 6 times ive tried.

ps: the supplier that sold me my first cig no longer carries the model and hasn't responded to my requests for the model number.
Thanks a million
B

I have new 510's and the only time the atomizer gets even a little warm is when I drawing a little too often. The button on the manual isn't supposed to be held down more than 5 seconds, not sure what the max draw time is on the auto batteries, but it's probably close to the same time. If you are used to smoking so fast that the heat build up is a problem, maybe 2 ecigs in use at one time would help....switching back and forth between the 2 units.

Ty for replying:). Ill tell you how i used the 510 to a Tee. you can tell me if its proper operation for it or not.
>Right out of the box i charged the battery for 12 hours and switched the alternate battery into the charger.
>i assembled the battery, atomizer/ prefilled cart
>I puffed on it a few times. I gave it about a 30 second rest between drags.
>After a few minutes it got hot as hell. and tasted like something mixed with burnt rubber, ecig juice, and stale tortilla chips.
>i tried dripping one drop of some RY i had in my mini fridge into the cart. it hit FANTASTIC
>I was elated. hit it again about 30 seconds later hit OK.
by the third hit each time it was "overheated" as id like to describe it(really hot and working at extreme low vapor)
now that might be ok for someone looking to quit smoking..... but i dont want to QUIT smoking i want to change what i smoke=).

ty for your help =)

Ok, please elaborate on this one..... a few minutes of....

1) Press button down half-second to second, then 3-4 seconds of slowly inhaling

or

2) something else

... did you add more drops? You need to keep the wick wet (not flooded, but not dry either)

I get the sneaking suspicion you're doin it wrong....

Seriously though, I do :) We seem to have alot of CA people here, and despite being a big state.... maybe there is someone close by with some carts, liquids, and a few models that could show you the deal?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Yeah, I hate insinuating that anyone may be doing it wrong because I don't want them to think that I am calling them an idiot, which I am not. :p

The woman who sold me this joye 510 was great. Her shipping was very fast, the price wasn't something that i felt ripped on either. She also sent me a very detailed manual that said exactly what you said about the draw method. About how long to do it for and at what draw strength i was trying to achieve to use it right. At the time i bought it i had tried and failed many times so i made doubly sure i was prepared to use it correctly.
i tried like a crazy man to reduce my drag strength /time. Because i don't want to have wasted money on it. As you said its probably my fault given my past case history. However currently its my only "working" model, as in its the only one that will work at any capacity. My main problem with it is it seems to be the opposite of what i had first used. very pleasurable flavor smooth vapor, with a decent throat hit, that worked for 1 puff every 2 minutes or so with the ability of using one unit for about 15 minutes before it tastes like crap and doesnt produce much vapor. My first model tasted kinda nasty and spewed juice in my mouth , but the thing worked all day and night with very very few problems. I now generally i smoke 1 analog for about 5 minutes. These produce generally for me 15 drags each or more depending on if im in a hurry. i do this about every 30 minutes for about 16 hours of the day. (i work at home :D). the joye 510 that i have i sometimes can use as a sort of pinch hitter if i cant make it to the store. im pretty much of the opinion that either the manual for it is wrong, i broke it somehow, or it was a sub par product. i am still looking for peoples recommendation or advice as to what i can use to achieve what i had before if even its only somewhat of the same and i have to buy 2 starters or whatever.

ty for all the help:thumbs:

If you get one of the premiere devices, they tend to carry fairly long warranty. I know the Prodigy carries a 6 month warranty and it is a real strong work horse. Plus some of these better PV's are 5 and 6 volt which give the best throat hit and vapor. And the replacement batteries cost only $2 and you can get 6-8 hours on a charge.

Prodigy: PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!!
GG: SmokeJuice - HOME
LV/ZiMoshi:Personal Vaporizers : Hardass Vapor Shop
Super T: Super T, Innovative manufacturer of Personal Vaporizer products.

Sounds like you either ran out of liquid on the atty and you're getting a dry atty taste, or your atty is flood down below the atomizer. Try this: Remove the atomizer, and blow all of the liquid out, drip 3 drops directly onto the atty bridge and try again. 3 drops should give you at least 7-8 good 5 second draws.

If that works then you know the problem was a dry atty, so you need to figure out why your atty is drying out. Maybe cart is packed too tightly and the liquid is not passing to the bridge quickly enough. Maybe the cart is packed too loosely so it's flooding your atomizer. Could be any number of things, but eliminating the cart itself and starting over with a dry atty and drip directly onto the atomizer will give us an idea if this is working or not.
Ill charge the battery and try dripping on the atomizer...(i hope my juice isnt rotten or something by now ? =))

Sounds like you need to refill your cart. One drop ain't gonna do it.

Spend some time looking around the different sections of the forum. While you can't post in most sections until you have 10-15 posts, you can browse and read whatever you like. There are videos around that show how to refill carts, among other things. There is a learning curve, but if you look around here, you can usually find answers to your questions without ever actually posting.
Don't get discouraged. :)

i was very intrigued by that one, reminded me of a mod i had seen on here in the past sometime. My only reservation is that i have paid alot of cash for what i thought was premium, only to find out the battery threading was so off that it tilted at a 30 degree angle.(janty) lol.
All that aside there are a few different models of those that ive been researching. any suggestions on which one i would be getting, given the context of how i described my smoking habits in my previous posts?

Based on your vaping needs, I would go with the Prodigy with the 801 adapter and the 5 volt with the resister. Being a bigger atomizer and cartridige, you don't have to top off as much plus it really is made for dripping right on the atomizer coil and no worry about liquid getting in the battery compartment. And it is VERY sturdy. You could almost run over it with your car.;)

Does anybody have an experience with this one?

Yeah, just another opinion: I've used two different versions of the DSE901 and didn't like either. The first was so so and the next terrible. I've also tried out a friend’s Njoy. He didn't like it and wanted to know if I'd buy it. Well, I didn't like it either.
I’ve made a Nicostick and I’ve got a pass through but they are both manual but sometimes that can be a pain in the ....--having to push the button.
There are times when I all I want to do is pick the darn thing up and puff--especially when I'm playing cards which I do just about daily.
Then I got the Skyrl. Awesome is the only word to describe it. One battery gave out on me in less than two months but the other is hanging in there like a trooper--I think I'm working on four months with it.
Their starter kits come with two complete ecigs. All you need to do is carry both with you and alternate. The Skyrl is automatic and very user friendly. They are very easy to refill and I've never gotten the liquid in the mouth, even when I've overfilled the liquid cart.
I like it so much that I'm using the connector and the regulator, or whatever the thing is called, off of the one that went bad and attempting to wire it to a Mod where I can switch out rechargeable batteries.
I was told the atty wouldn’t last that long, but so far they’ve lasted longer than my first.
Skyrl is listed here and if you order give them my friend’s name, Janet Harris, Mackinaw, IL. She does the ordering for me and her.
