Hi all.
I am having this issue with 2 batteries. I *think* it was caused by an atty, but I am not positive.
The batteries are eGo *type* called vGo.
I use only lr atties. I have been using this set up for months with no issues at all.
Just last week, I popped a new atty out of my supply closet, screwed it on the battery, did a little dry burn. Dripped a few drops of juice, little battery pulses a few more times, another drop or 2, ready to go.
Everything was working as usual for about an hour or so. Then, after taking a drag, the battery never went off. Had to twist the atty off to get it to stop burning. It's happened before, so I didn't sweat it. Screwed the atty back on, and it immediately started burning.
Damn.
Ok, let's try a different battery. Same thing. As soon as I screwed it on, bam. Was sizzling.
Ok, put my *old atty back on. Bummer.
Ok, now for the problem I am having.
I can screw either of those batteries onto a charger and everything appears normal, and they both show fully charged. Take them off the charger, push the button, it comes on. Cool
Screw an atty on, press the button, it flashes but nothing happens.
Both batteries do this.
Any idea at ALL what could be the problem? And is there a fix or do I need to buy more stuff?
ANy suggestions at all would be helpful as I am really bummed right now. Nothing seems to be preforming well for me right now and I am so frustrated I am ready to go buy some analogs. The batteries I am using that are *working* don't seem to be putting out or something. I am using brand new atties that I just got and I still feel like I am puffing an ultra light and I am a harsh TH kinda person. I think I need a 10v!
Seriously, this set up HAD been working for months. I don't know what gives with any of it, but I am really stumped by the battery issue.
Thanks in advance.

Mac: I hope someone can help you, 'cause if they do, they will be helping me too. I was using a 306 atty and somehow three batteries in a row started to 1)burn and not stop or 2) blink and do nothing. Charging does not help or does not work. (duh)I think from reading elsewhere that this is now a chip problem, maybe from over enthusiastic dripping? But it seriously trips me out that this would happen to three batteries in a row. Left me in a bind. At least I have an echo as back up (but I am having trouble with the carts after a couple of days - but that is a separate thread)

I'm having the same problem. I have been using my ego type batts with atty's, cartos, etc. Just bought new clearo's that hold 3.5 mls. great until the problem. Same as described above, batt blinks, wont shut off and crapps out. Charges but doesn't work at all. plug anything into it and it just blinks and nothing. I switched to another batt same supplier and wap same. Now both are dead. I'm sending both back to the supplier and will post the answer when I hear back. I don't want to mention supplier because I love them. Both batts are 4 months old and I care for them better than my car so they maybe old but shouldn't be. I'll mention, I was driving my car once I switched to the second batt and couldn't hear it sizzling but became aware I had a problem when It burnt my hand. Red hot. I'm bummed as I'm using my first pv, winnie batt mod but at least didn't have to buy squares. The big question is why didn't the 8 second cut off switch work? I like the above posters had to unscrew the carto to stop it. Any advice would be appreciated.
