Dead Hello 016 battery

I got my new Hello 016 battery in today. It had some charge but I put it on my standard eGo charger and charged it. After the charging was complete, I put on a 510 atty that I had been using all day, drop in a few drops, and it worked perfectly. A bit later, I unscrew the atty, put on another, and nothing. The button will not light. I put it on the charger and it acts like nothing is there.

Tried wiping out the threads but no joy. I can see no visible shorts. I am using the same atty that worked on this battery originally on another battery now. Works perfectly.

Any ideas?

I'm assuming it is just dead. Sending it back for an exchange.
