Lmk how you like that one. I ordered one from gingers. They don't say what their ratio is either. My original order for juice was from Vapor Chef and they do. Flavors aren't bad, but they mostly have fruity flavors. The guy who owns the place is great. So check him out if you ever want to. I can't speak from experience obviously, but for my first order it's not bad. I hear ya. I have other flavors I haven't tried, and already placed a new order for those, and clearomizers lol.

Hm... Halo won't say what their PG/VG ratio is. That's annoying.

Funny you should mention French Vanilla, I've got one on order from Johnson Creek to try. They also have Vanda which is a vanilla that's not overpowering. Also I've come to like Rainer which is a cherry that's lightly flavored. They mostly sell 100% VG liquids so you could sample a few and see if you like VG. They sell small bottles for sampling and do a discount if you order five at one time.

I've heard many good things about Heather's Heavenly Vapes and Mount Baker but haven't yet tried them myself (going to soon though).

You'll have to do some experimenting to find the right nic levels and PG/VG ratios that you like and work for you. But, then, that's part of the fun of vaping. Trying new liquids. That's actually part of what keeps me vaping instead of smoking. There's more variety in vaping. I like to switch flavors during the day, keep from getting too "routine" and bored.

Well I just wanted to give everyone an update since I've received everything. The Triton is great. I have no complaints at all. I have dropped for 2 packs a day to an average of about 10 cigs a day. Which is a pretty good improvement. I still haven't found that flavor that really makes me wanna kick them all together. I received a sample from gingers and it was great, and I was waiting on a shipment from there. So I was really excited about getting it because I loved the sample flavor (wasn't strong enough though being a sample and all) but when I got my order I was disappointed. So I am on my 3rd shop and hoping I find something great.

Everyone I've read says to set aside the disappointing ones and let them sit (and steep) then try them again later. Apparently the more freshly mixed liquids need time to blend.

But, yeah, it can take a little time to find the liquids you really like.

But that first drop is amazing huh? Same happened to me. Up to 2 packs a day to maybe 6 cigs a day. All at once. Stunned me. :)

Yeah I can't believe how much I am now smoking, but def looking forward in finding that perfect one that makes me not want them at all. But i'll def take 10 over 2 packs any day. I do have them sitting. I did try them again today, but still not liking them. So I'm going to wait awhile before I do again. I'm currently waiting on a shipment from Johnson's Creek. Read somewhere that they actually make the flavors for blu. Which I'm a little hopeful with these being that I did like the flavor to those, just didn't find them strong enough. Lol I really should just start buying samples but none come in the strength I'm looking for. So I find it pointless to try them because there's a couple I like that my husband has in a 16mg but hate in the 24mg. But starting to get pricey. A Johnsons Creek rep told me that they will exchange the larger bottles so if I don't like them call them. I purchased some from their original line and then some from the red oaks. And as we were talking she said some people don't like the mixtures and want them vg free? Anyway, I think that will be a good way to narrow down what my issue is lol. Maybe I don't like the mixtures. Just wish we had a local shop so I could find out what I do like. But I'm sure once I do it'll be much better from there. It's almost getting to the point where a 3 hr drive isn't sounding too bad lol.

I know the feeling. :)

For me, it worked to not put too much pressure on myself to "quit". Seemed to work better to focus on the positive aspects of vaping. The more I enjoyed the vaping, the less I cared for cigarettes. And the smoking kept slowing down until in the last couple of weeks, it looks like it's coming to a halt.

Didn't happen overnight but about six weeks? Some seem lucky and just walk away from smoking day one. Others of us, takes more time. Especially because there's definitely no "one size fits all" in liquids (or anything in vaping :) ).

I do have them sitting. I did try them again today, but still not liking them. So I'm going to wait awhile before I do again.

Yeah, I have some like that. I read from experienced vapers around here that it's best to just set them aside and move on. Couple of weeks to a month, you might try it again and they'll be great.

Or one thing I found that's funny is I didn't like what I thought I would like. Vaping is different than smoking and I guess it can take unexpected turns at first. Like I smoked menthols. But I don't like menthol liquids. I did not expect that. :)

I'm currently waiting on a shipment from Johnson's Creek. Read somewhere that they actually make the flavors for blu. Which I'm a little hopeful with these being that I did like the flavor to those, just didn't find them strong enough. Heh, yeah. On the other hand, cigarettes have gotten really expensive. I don't know about your state but mine jumped in right behind the feds in that last tax hike and doubled the price. A carton went to $70 (urk). And I went through one in week or less. So I tell myself long as I'm spending less than $70 a week, I'm coming out ahead. :)

(And, well, I am really)

I buy from JC a lot myself. They do some I use for my regular vapes. Rainer has a mild cherry flavor that seems to work for me as a regular vape. So does Vanda which is a light vanilla. I've found some out there with strong flavors I like but they're too strong to do regularly. JC makes some that work for me as "fall backs". Nice flavor but not overwhelming so I don't get tired of them.

They have sample bottles and discount if you get five. Not a bad deal.

A Johnsons Creek rep told me that they will exchange the larger bottles so if I don't like them call them. I purchased some from their original line and then some from the red oaks. And as we were talking she said some people don't like the mixtures and want them vg free?

Yeah that can make a difference. Some folks prefer more PG, others more VG. I seem to fall into the latter. I've tried more PG heavy liquids and never seem to like the taste. Which is funny because most people seem to say PG is better at delivering flavor. Guess everybody's different. JC's Red Oak line is 100% VG and I like it myself. The most PG I seem to like is a 50/50 PG/VG mix. I haven't found any liquid that has more PG than VG I like. You have to experiment. There's just no telling ahead of time.

Anyway, I think that will be a good way to narrow down what my issue is lol. Maybe I don't like the mixtures. Just wish we had a local shop so I could find out what I do like. Heh, yeah. I'm actually just outside Austin. Kind of semirural, unincorporated so I just tell folks "Austin" 'cause it's easier than "end of the road next to the cattle ranch." :) So the city's in fairly easy reach. But the best shop I've found is an hour. Not too bad but not something I can do on a lark at these gas prices. :)

Lot of vendors do have sample packs though that aren't too pricey. Plus, I suspect it's kind of inevitable to spend a fair amount getting "settled in". I just did a big order of samples and thought, "wow, that's a lot". Then I realized I was looking at about two carton of cigs worth of money. So I'm still way ahead.

Thx RT88. I def don't want to go overboard and make myself sick with too much nicotine. Nor do I want to spend a lot trying to figure what works for me. So I'm thinking a disposable will be a decent start trying to find a good strength. Congrats on being on a lower mg. That is def my goal. Hoping it helps me quit.

Hi!

While waiting from my JoyeTech eGo Kanger T3 startup kit I found the NJoy disposable eCig. They are sold here (AZ) in QT's, Circle K's and 7/11's. They look like a cigarette and taste like it as well. They are $9.00 and are supposed to last around 2 packs of cigarettes. I smoked cigars and at most one would last me a day. They produce some vapor (nothing like my my new setup with arrived yesterday (love it!)) have a good taste and throat hit.

The bolds (or reds) have plenty of nic and they kept me from smoking any cigars while I was waiting for my kit to arrive in the mail.
Not sure on how they compare to blu's but they worked for me.

6 days no cigars and not looking back. :)

Edit: Looks like I replied too soon and you've found a kit. LOL! Oh well I'll leave the post as is in case some else needs it. :)

Krissie, welcome to a great forum and congrats on taking the best possible step in leaving tobacco behind! As you can see there are some great, helpful folks here at ECF.

I haven't tried Blu, but everything I hear about 'em is bad. I can't brag, though...I fell for the "free" online e-cig scam a year ago. I received a small cigalike with carts that tasted pretty bad, and the thing ended up in a drawer. Nevertheless when my wife and I made a firm decision to quit smoking, we dragged it out and flogged it pretty hard. The thing with cigalikes for us, at first, was that they LOOK like a cigarette - exactly what we were trying to get away from! My wife would even tap the thing on the edge of an ashtray. So I went searching for something that looked nothing like a cigarette.

In the course of online research I quickly found a mind-boggling array of models, most of which were more expensive than I was willing to try right off the bat. A small brick-and-mortar store had opened locally and I went there. Long story short, I ended up with a couple of Joyetech eGo batteries with clearomizers. They have been miraculous for us - we went from a 45-year, pack-a-day habit to being nonsmokers in a single afternoon.

As you explore your many options you'll settle on something that works well for you. But I can't recommend the eGo units too highly! They don't cost an arm and a leg. They work extremely well. are mid-sized, and you have attachment options, from various cartos and clearos, to the tanks. You can try different juices in the carts to see what you like. Later you may want to acquire some of the more expensive mods, but based on the experiences of others that I've seen here at ECF, you'll keep coming back to the eGos.

As for the cigalikes (510s), I'm now over the lookalike hangup. I like them for when I want something compact. I have a Joyetech 510 that's sleek and black and looks great with a stainless steel carto. And the blue LED at the end makes it impossible for anyone to think you are smoking a cigarette. My daily carry is an eGo unit with a T2 clearomizer, plus the 510 which I keep loaded with an alternate flavor just to clean my palate occasionally. This is what works very well for me but YMMV. My wife uses the eGo all day, and vapes nothing but French Vanilla. I favor the tobacco flavors, sometimes with a little vanilla blended in.

It is possible to find an excellent unit that will work well for you without breaking the budget! Let us know how things go for you.

I'm pretty satisfied with the halo. However, I haven't quit smoking entirely yet. Doing a lot better. I'm having a hard time finding that perfect flavor lol. Which might be possible that I did. It's johnsons creek vanda. Which is a vanilla flavor. Problem I'm having with it is when I first hit it, it kills my throat. After a lil while it stops. But I do dread taking those first few hits on it. So I'm currently waiting on it in a diff nic strength. I guess that could be my issue. What vanilla does your wife use and from where?

Thanks for that. Wouldn't have been a bad way to try it out. I do have the halo triton now. But those blu batteries are the worst lol. It seemed every time I turned around I was charging them. The blu system would probably be perfect for a very light smoker.

One option. I believe the Blu batteries are 510 threaded. You could pick up some 510 threaded cartomizers and a few bottles of liquid in strength and flavor you prefer and use those on your blu batteries. Might be a cheap simple way to dive in.

Or if you still have them quick trip batteries.

I have a junky 808-D battery from a convienence store kit I bought last summer (and hated). Now I just stick a carto on it when I have to run about town on errands. It's a no muss no fuss no leaks easy way to vape and drive for the hour or 2 I would be out.

Also I fully admit I am a tad frugal. So my waste not want not side says use the stupid thing till it dies. :)

For me, it was about my technique. I take very slow drags and hold it my mouth before inhaling. It takes a good 10 seconds to draw. Don't suck it directly into your lungs. I LOVE the Cinnilla (Cinnamon Vanilla - it's STRONG too) from allaboutvapor.com - it's my ADV for the most part. I like a whole lot of flavor I find.

there has def been a big diff in how much we are smoking now. I did slip up one day and smoked about a pack, but got myself back in check. Our cigs here are probably one of the lower priced ones, but still 3.50 for a cheap pack and times that by 3 a day. I've done the math and well...I was pretty disgusted, lol. Sometimes it's more then that. But they are about to go up between .40 -.60 can't remember which it is. So I'd say I picked a good time to make the switch lol.

I will def. try the ranier from jc. The vanda I have now is great in flavor, but kills my throat. Have you had that experience. The rep at jc said that it may just be too high in nicotine. I'm still going to hold onto the vanda I have now because that horrible throat burn is only temporary, but I'm sending back the jc original and solstice. In exchange I'm going to get a lower nic. level of the vanda and something else. Lol, I thought I'd love a tobacco flavor but I don't.

I'm not sure if I have an issue with the pg vg thing lol. I think the issues I've had are the flavors were just terrible for me. Like I got a boston cream pie one...taste just like rum even smells like it. lol now if it were crown i'd be good :p

I am going to try and make the trip to that vendor. It would be nice to just taste them and go home happy :)

I bought ecigs (vaporkings) they literally sucked IMO. I sent them back next day. I ordered an Ego kit and I have had that 2 days. It is awesome for $60 I got 2 1100ma bats 2 tanks and some juice, I ordered 18 mg juice and it is pretty good I may go a bit stronger next order. (I still have some craving for analog). But I am down to 5 or 6 cancer sticks a day after 1.5 packs per day before I stated vaping. Good luck and welcome
