Horizontal Coil Cartos and UFS?

Has anyone tried the Kanger Horizontal Coil Cartomizers (5pc Empty Kanger Horizontal Coil Cartomizer for 510/eGo - $4.58 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail--)? It seems they might be a good choice for a bottom-feed application like the UFS since the coil is actually at the bottom of the cartomizer. I've got some coming, but was wondering if anyone has any experience with them.

They're all right. Some people swear by them, but I prefer axial coil style cartos, myself. The vape on them I found to be similar to a CE2 in terms of flavor and hit (which I liked about them), but with my vaping style I tended to vape the coil dry faster than it could re-wet itself. I may have to try them again once I get my UFS, 'cos I think that particular issue may be solved by being bottom-fed

I am a user of both the 808 and 510 Kanger horizontal coil cartos in my UFS Chaos. Simply a preference based on familiarity and postive results from horizontal coil Kangers in other manners of use. I do enjoy them in my UFS as much or more so than any other single coil carto.

I bought a couple of the horiz coil cartos, but the draw was way too stiff. Maybe I got some bad ones or something, which is a bit of a bummer, because they seem like they should work well in the UFS.

Quite possible. The ones I tried were nice and loose, but I've found quite a bit of variation in draw from carto to carto with all the types and brands I've used. I may have to try them again now that I have my UFS

That is one thing I have found with the Kanger stuff particularly. As they have grown in size, they have absorbed different manufacturing facilities. Some facilities put out high quality stuff while the lesser facilities still get utilized for over flow orders and the result is something that looks like it's supposed to but generally sucks in operation.

I should have mentioned that before but I've used them so long I had forgotten I simply accept that as part of using their stuff.

A newbie question if I may.

When using these Kanger 2 Ohm bottom coils, would you recommend feeding them:

A) Unpunched and using the juice control?

B) Punching a hole and leaving the juice control closed?

C) An even better method that I don't yet know of?

I used cartos punched and unpunched in the UFS with no leaking. You have to be more careful with the juice control when using punched cartos.

I have just finished my first tankfull of juice with a unpunched Kanger 2 Ohm and felt that it was dry, even with the juice control fully opened. The only way I could get it to feed was to have the air control 99% closed.

I'll give it a shot with a small hole next time and see how it performs.

The smoketech single coil 1.7 cartos from madvapes work amazing unpunched, even with evil thick liquid like Bobas Bounty.

If you haven't tried one they're worth a shot, and super cheap at Madvapes!

are they the same as the 1.7's at crystalclearvaping? those are what ive been using in mine and they're only $20 for 15 of them.
