Hospital a-vape-vape

ok; in my head, I was thinking "a-go-go" for a title....

Anyway; spent allllll day yesterday at the hospital while a family member was having surgery.

I don't think I ever enjoyed it so much when the kids would say "I have to go to the bathroom!" LOL

We'd go in, vape while I wait and life was good.

What I really loved, is I got to really see the advantage of vaping. There was a very long stretch of time when no one was having to make the BR trip and I was actually starting to get antsy. I finally realized that I too could say I had to tee-tee and sneak a couple puffs. OMG! it was awesome!! Took the edge off immediatley! For the first time, I didn't try and find a reason to go out to the car & especially being in such a sterial odor enviroment, try to 'hide' the analog smell.

Anyway; just had a moment and thought I'd share my wonderful, glorious day yesterday.

Next up; going drinking with the girls on Friday.
Haven't been out with my friends since I started vaping. A little nervous about this, but finally decided if I have an analog, well, I'm over 21 (barely! LOL) & I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I've made it 7 1/2 week, so what ever happens, I'm still ahead of the game! =)

You should ok with your 510 and your PCC on girls night out, shouldn't you?? Then again, if you have an analog,, so what? July 5, 2010 the ban in bars starts,,, hopefully, we'll be able to vape then.

BTW, I went to visit my sister up in Appleton. They've had the smoking ban in bars for a while,,, and she said that people can vape in the bars there. She said there was a report on the news that said that the smoking ban didn't cover vaping, because it's not smoke. (she's not a big bar partron, so I can't say for sure how each individual case is treated, though) She let me vape in her house, and I thought that was pretty nice!

Actually, girls night out will be a gathering at one of the houses, so I won't be making my public debut yet. But, I will be showing it off to others, so that will help me ease into it.

Yes; I'll have my trusty 510 + PCC with me. I think I'll still also take an actual charger with me for in the car. I think the PCC is starting to act up. I knew having that felt in the top was going to cause a problem!
Or, maybe i should just clean the contacts with a little rubbing alcohol and see if that makes a differance LOL

I know that 2 of the girls are going to want to try it, so I'm going to bring my 901 along also. I could see one of the girls possibly switching to vaping, but for the other girl - if you can believe this - I would NOT encourage her to try this on a full time basis until a lot of the bugs are worked out. She doesn't have the patients to put up with all the issues that come with vaping and I don't want to start hearing her whining to me. Then too, one never knows! LOL

Unless a bar wanted to go no-smoking to begin with, I bet there are going to be a lot of bars that will be allowing vaping.
Every time all this has come up in the past, my GFs and I have talked about it and given it's a LOT cheaper for us to be drinking at my house anyway (I have connections at the brewery), the songs we play are all on my iPod & we have a big deck, going to the bar is really just a social thing anyway; kind of a see & be seen kind of thing.

Hmmm....looks like I have a year to start looking for additional beer fridges to make sure I'm always stocked up....LOL

Well, I'm very proud of myself! Vaped all night and never once did I have even a want of bumming an analog!!
I was going to say "....a thought of bumming an analog....,", but I did think about it -- I thought "wow! I don't want to bum one!!" LOL

As for anyone wanting to try them...a friend of one of the 'kids' that was there smoked and wanted to try it. I let him try the 901. He was blown away, but I think he's a little too young (aka broke) to afford an e-cig ...........but wait......how can that be, if these are targeted towards 'kids'??.....but I digress.....LOL

Imagine watching one of those shows on Animal Planet or Discovery --

One of the dogs....err...foxes...yah! let's use foxes....
One of the foxes in the pack brings back a delicious, yet unknown, never seen before cut of meat for everyone to feast on. Never seeing this strange cut of meat before...the other foxes look at it...wondering when it's going to snap at them...after a few moments, they come closer, all the while sniffing...attempting to become comforatable with what they are seeing.........

I told them to feel free to call me anytime, or check it out at the mall, but if they liked what they saw at the kiosk, NOT to buy it there, told them about the huge price differance & told them I'd hook them up LOL

Yup; sounded like a drug dealer. Felt like one when it was time to drip too LOL

So, I'm dancing around the house today, so proud of myself for overcoming this HUGE obstical!

OH!!! Towards the end of the evening, 4 of us even headed to a corner bar for a couple (wow; never said 'couple' before and actually meant it! LOL) Anyway; I of course used it! But I think the 2 guys at the end of the bar had been there long enough not to notice anything other than the directions to the bathroom...I don't even think they heard us come in LOL

Was disappointed the the bartender didn't ask me what I was doing, but I suppose as long as it didn't smell like anything...umm....illegal, he didn't wantn to know anything....LOL

Edited note: the "kid" friend is 20....and came out near us 2xs to have a smoke. All the younger kids (teens & a handful under 10) were in the house watching movies while us mommies conversed in the back yard..... Didn't want to give anyone a bad impression of what was going on! =)

I find that, the more I use my gear in public, the more the public tends to ignore what I'm doing.... I might get an occasional funny look, but only once has someone overcome the fear of walking up to a complete stranger to ask - "What IS that??"

I kinda think that's a bit sad, that we, as a people, have buried our innate curiousity behind a wall, more afraid of giving offense (or inviting an attack) than of meeting a new and potentially interesting person.
