I have seen mentioned in a thread or two members that have been in hospitals that actively allow vaping and possibly some that encourage it for their patients instead of patches or gum.
If you know the names of any of these hospitals, could you please post the name here?
Doing a research paper and would like to include this information!
Thank you!

I only have one experience with vaping in a hospital. I'm not sure if they allow it or the nurses/doctors just didn't care. I was just walking down the halls stealth vaping but in the small waiting rooms next to the patient rooms (not the lobby waiting room) I was just vaping openly, nurses walked by, came and went but no one even looked at me or seemed to care. This was in the Huntington hospital in Los Angeles (South Pasadena)

Vaping has become really popular here in SoCal and the general consensus say that Doctors don't frown upon them at all, and actually know how they work along with the ingredients found in eliquid.

I'm in a hospital right now, (wife and I just had a baby yesterday, thank you) and though I'm not doing it in front of people, I'm not really hiding my gear. Vamo is sitting out next to batts, charger and spare atty and no dirty looks or questioning from dr.s or nurses. This hospital does have a pretty strict non smoking policy, but I'm guessing more of a "don't ask don't tell" approach to vaping (or at least that's what I'm going with).

My son was in the hospital for a week, several months ago. He is a heavy smoker so I brought him an ecig to use. He was in a private room and had it sitting right out in the open on his tray. The staff never said a word about him using it. I believe that a few even encouraged it, but that may have been because he was quite belligerent about not being allowed to go out to smoke. So much so that they eventually turned their heads when he would 'sneak out' to actually smoke.

the university of alberta hospital allows vaping. they also offer disposables to patients who are smokers. the university itself is an advocate of the use of e-cigarettes (or whatever you choose to call them) and they do some positive research as well.
last year i supported a friend through an unexpected 9 hr visit to the hospital. once we were settled in for the long haul i asked a nurse if it was ok if i vaped. i was pretty tentative asking, but there was no problem at all and the overall attitude was pretty casual.
