Is this safe???

Got a volt usb charger to use on my 901's. Charger never turns blue, batt gets rather warm. Took new batt off few hours, put on regular 901 a/c charger. The batt made the A/C charger pulse red/green hard like a pulse. After 5minutes, the A/C charger was pulsing green.

IS THIS A SIGN OF OVERCHARGE???

Helping to convert someone in this hick town, but worried bout passing off this charger as a loaner.....

I can't answer your specific question sorry, but I would advise to never ever put a battery on a charger that is not designed for it. Volt chargers charge Volts. 901 chargers charge 901's. eGo chargers charge eGo's. Only way to stay safe. See the recent thread on exploding ego battery. Mixing batteries and chargers can result in that. Do you have a multimeter you can measure the battery voltage with?

You might have fried the PCB. It isn't the stores fault it is yours

As Olef said only use the proper charger for the equip you are using. Some batt chargers have reverse polarity e.g the case is positive whilst the post is neg. Batteries do not like to be charged that way.

Some times it is better to post the Q 1st, saves allot of problems in the long run.

When the store does nothing but sell pv's, & they tell you it will work, then how is it ours???

I'm not filing some lawsuit here, but they will need to take back the charger in the least...
It wasn't clear what you were complaining about the batt or the charger. In the case of the latter by all means, especially if they said it would work.

BTW not all vendors know what they are talking about with the amount of shops popping up on a nearly weekly basis.

I was just complaining that I burnt a battery. Not blaming anyone, or product, shat happens, was just about the battery.
