Like most people I take advantage of all the routine sales, I get the e-mails every couple of days so rarely is their not a sale going on. Yet over the last few months I've noticed that my monthly orders have jumped about $40 more then usual. The first time this happened I thought a mistake was made applying the discount. Then realized it's because sale discounts are not given on "Hot Items" because they already have small discounts attached to them.

Problem is half the liquids I use are ALWAYS marked as hot items from month to month for awhile now. And it makes a huge price difference on my orders. For example my wife uses nothing but WoW peppermint, Normally at 12.50 a bottle I would take advantage of a sale price, let's say 35% (although occasionally the awesome 40% off sale) that makes it on average $8.12 a bottle. But instead because no discount is given, it's 11.25 a bottle that's a difference of $3.13 a bottle.

As I usually place one large order at a time this really adds up. I've been ordering every month for over 2 years now and I have to admit because of this V4L is starting to feel like less of a deal. I would think the vast majority of your customers already use the sale promo since they are fairly regular and constant, so I don't even see a real purpose to have the "hot item" prices. And since they are usually attached to more popular liquids, it's starting to feel like it's being done intentionally to not give discounts on the popular products. :glare:

I always understood the Hot items were things that were low on supplies..like my 11 mg being out of stock. I am lucky as I can go down in MG but not up unless there is something I can cut it with like a 4 mg to cut with an 18mg to make 11 mg. After a while they will restock. The lower price is not a sale price it's an inconvenience price..at least that is my understanding.

I agree with most of you on this. And I know I'm not the only one that feels its intentional. They have and will continue to lose out on business. I know I have been ordering for over 2 years and cut down on my purchases. And am thinking about just finding something else. What changed? Why not give us the same deals that have been going on all along? Not enough money? Nothing has changed as far as taxes or regulation. I am sure they are able to make huge profits off of even the discounted price. You will sell more items at a discounted price than not allowing it to be included in the sales and having a special price on it. And lets go into the shipping thing too. Why not offer 1st class mail? Delivery confirmation is included into it now. Do something, cut the shipping cost or give us a sale once in a while that applies to everything. 25% percent would be better than what it is now. I feel us long term customers are getting the middle finger. There are only two juices that I order from you guys, but they are both my main two vapes and they are both on the "hot items" list. Can anyone tell me if this is going to be a permanent thing or is it just because of China had their new year thing?

I have decided to stop buying all together and hunt for another menthol & juice brand. First smiling menthol was on the "Hot Item" ( My all day everyday vape since it came out) So I switched to New menthol. It got me by but was not the same. At least at the time it qualified for discounts. Now the New menthol is a hot item as well and not available for discount either. Tricky tricky. I started vaping in 2011. 90% of my purchases have been from v4l, including my very first ecig.
I shall check back every so often to see if they fix it. It has been a good run while it lasted.

Thank you TechnoDestructo and spacekitty for the feedback. This past weekend we did run two sales that allowed the Hot Items and other discounted items to be discounted further. I will give this feedback to management to see if the idea behind those two sales can be applied to future sales. Please feel free to reach out to me directly as well at brandon@vapor4life.com with any additional feedback :).
