Hey guys, just wanted to share an experience I've been having lately with a hot leg on my RM2. NOTE: My brain works slow and I am not an electronics guru by any stretch. I hope this story may help out another REOnaut with similar issues.
The story starts when I installed my new upgrade kit and also tried KGD for the first time. For some reason I was getting a burnt taste even though it appeared that the micro's I was building were perfect and glowing well from the inside out. I figured it was either the new cotton or the new contacts were magnifying minor defects in my coils. Changing the cotton for wicks didn't fix it. More coils built with different bends and kinks - same issues. Dang it man, I have built many, many coils with no issues at all! Is my wire defective? Am I losing my frickin mind? Getting bummed...
Well, here it is. I had a post on my RM2 that would loosen up when I unscrewed the screw to change coils, and I figured that when I tightened the post screw installing the coil that it would tighten that post back down. Driving home today and thinking about it, I thought, "hey dumbayuss, make sure that RM2 post is tight!" Needless to say, when I got home and took some pliers to that pesky post and torqued it good, the hot leg disappeared!!!

If you're having similar issues with hot legs or a burnt taste on your RM2, make sure you go after those posts to make sure they are tight!
