I'm going to have to lean how to do a screen grab but in the mean time here is my freshly serviced Ti coil and wick.

Is this for oxidation and contact coils or other reason?

Oxidation:

I have dry burned both, contact and spaced.

Wrapped a beautiful 6-wrap 2.5 Kuro 2.5 mm SS 316L contact for my GEM only to find a leg snap...while dry burning.

Switched to SS 430 spaced. Very interesting to watch as the coil heated (pulsed), unevenly, until the entire coil glowed through and through.

Coil is still working as expected in the SquapeRs...

Hi guys, I've got mine today. Something about that balance charger rubs me the wrong way. I decided not to use it at all. I used SKYRC iMAX B6AC V2 instead. I made all the necessary wire connectors and plugs but the 3-cell LiPo battery was so dead, that iMAX refused to charge it.

Luckily for me, Evolv DNA200 USB port charger wasn't as picky. Even though, each cell was way below 2.0 Volts, DNA200 did an excellent job in bringing them back to life. Only slow. I decided not to wait on USB to fully charge my battery and, as soon as the voltage reached 3.1 Volts, moved it back on iMAX to charge.
Believe it or not, after only one cycle of Charge-Discharge-Charge, this (otherwise Dead Battery) was able to absorb exactly 913 mAh. I charged it at 2 Amps of current, the last time around. And it only took 34 minutes.

So far, I'm very pleased with my new toy. It vapes great Ni200, Ti-1 and SS316L dual and single coils. And Escribe is amazing. I'm still learning it.

You are making me sorry I was too cheap to spring for the V2!

Got my hotcig dna200. As others have reported , one cell was around 2.2v & the other two around 1.2v.
So first updated the firmware & then went into diagnostic & did a usb charge recovery. The cell voltages reached 3v in a couple of minutes its charging now.
And its taking a really long time at 0.5A :)

I just ordered one yesterday from GB against my better judgement. The price was just too good to pass up. I'm actually getting excited, seems like you can basically tinker with it until the cows come home. I love to tinker, so this looks to be right up my alley. Now the wait begins, hope to have it by Halloween

Cheers,
Steve

All you OCD types you are in luck with the Hotcig 200. Been using mine all day and just put the TFV4 on top. No overhang it looks like it was made for it! Looks and vapes great. Same tank hangs off the VS200 as it is slightly smaller. No problems with mine and battery life is better than expected. Have a great day!

For those who have this mod what's the consensus worth the money?. Looking to get a dna200 Xmas time and of the three I short listed only the hotcig is still in the running though the lavabox might be another option pending reviews. Also is a genuine imax b6ac a decent charger to use with the battery pack in the hotcig?. Thanks in advance for any help on this :).

It's for sure worth the $124 that I paid for mine, works just the same as my $230 Opus but if paying more for it I likely would buy some other one. Maybe the Hcigar once they revise it.
My one and only complaint on the Hotcig, the rubberized finish isn't going to hold up long and there presently no skins for it.

Really dead. About 1v per cell. Screen was blipping. Opened device monitor after update and from the Diagnostics panel I used advanced - USB recovery changing and now it's OK.

However I didn't know if there's a limit on recovery charging so I stopped it after cells reached 3.7 each.

Now I opened escribe again and charge it normally watching the charging graph.

Everything now seem OK. I also uploaded my custom settings
