Seems to be a serious problem with the batteries in the Hotcig arriving over drained. They are compromised when they get to low, aren't they, which I'm thinking would be very, very bad with a lipo.

Evolv should really have made it possible to completely switch off the mod.

Anyone knows if the stock charger works correctly?

I'm now charging the battery to the hotfire charger and both lights are on. Will it stop charging the way it should and the light will go off?

I would love a quick response. Thanks
They both start flashing crazy like there's an error when complete.

With the Hotcig they could just not put the two pieces of the case together.
Says Hot Fire right on the battery.
Mine is the only one that I know of where the cells were above 3 volts.

I've used the charger and worked fine but usually just use the usb plug. Agree on the finish. It is very similar to the VS200 and has the side groove like the Hcigar. Plus the size is just big enough where the atomizers all fit flush with no overhang. Mine had a half charge when I received it so didn't have the battery issue. Overall I like it and would buy it again.

I tried out the Hot fire charger yesterday because I read somewhere that it overcharged the cells... and it does, pack was 12.72 volts, no too bad nor good (4.24 per cell)
I charge to 4.1v (set in EScribe) normally

The charger did a good job in mine.

The charging light went off (not blipping ) but I wasn't watching it. Probably the charge was finished a lot time before I looked.

The cells were 4.23 4.19 4.19 when I looked at escribe.

Seems fine for me. I set the cutoff to 3.2 but I don't know how to set the maximum charge from USB at escribe. Probably from the discharge graph but didn't try it.

Also one question : The watt /hour at escribe is 9 by default. I set it to 9.9 cause the battery in this is 900mah. Was I correct to change it?

On the battery pack it says 10(wh) so you should be fine at 9.9.

It is my believe, that it is absolutely unacceptable that FastTech is shipping them with dead batteries. Because, much like having a deep wound: It's going to leave a scar (permanent damage).
I've got to ask you guy a question: It seems to me that CSV profile for Titanium Grade-1 and SS316L, that I downloaded from Steam Engine is not accurate. You see, I have 4 dual-coil atomizers built the same way. Fogger V4.2, Goliath V1, Zephyrus and Billow V1. I use Stealth Vapor Medical grade-1 Titanium 26 gauge. All four are built the same way: Two spaced coils of 7 wraps over ID2.5mm. They all look like this:

kGc9V0l.jpg

Why? Because I found this build performing best for me. And they all perform the same way on my Yihi SXmini M-Class SX350J with newest firmware and Titanium support at 450°F. They also work quite well on my Snow Wolf in Nickel mode and Temperature lowered to 350°F. At about 65W - 75W.
However, on my HotCig DNA200, they all are working differently and unpleasant, some times. Billow is showing "Temperature Protected" every time even if I raise
the temperature to 500°F. Zephyrus is working too hot and I had to lower the temperature down to 350°F yesterday, but this morning, I had to raise the temperature to 400°F to get some vapor. Goliath, seems to be the only one that works the same on Yihi and DNA200. It seems to me, that I'm going to have to setup a different profile for every tank that I use, Not only Ni, Ti and SS. Why? They are all built the same way! I tried to use my 26 gauge SS316L built Lemo V1 with even worse results (CSV SS316L is also from Steam Engine). That same Lemo works flawlessly on Nembula SXK60 with Nickel Purity coefficient set to 11%.

What the heck am I doing wrong with my DNA200?

Second DX200 arrived today. First was sent USPS Expedited for battery products, second was sent to old way via Singapore post. Second one was shipped 48hr after the first and received 48hr after the first so exactly the same ship time.

Re the battery - this is how the cells look. Disconcerting.

So why do you suppose that that aren't discharged somewhat more evenly if the board is slowly draining power, or is it draining through the tap perhaps?

This one looks like it just has a bad cell or bad connection to the cell from the jst connector. Opened a service ticket requesting a replacement battery pack be sent from hotcig asap. After I fight with them & know what they will do, I'll look more closely at the lipo.
