Received my order from HOL (and SS Line from Croatia) on Friday afternoon.

The good news: My order arrived from England into New York within 3 days. The bad news: it then sat in US Customs (about 12 miles from me) for the next 11 days.

Immediately tore into the package, and readied myself for steepage.

As you can see, I also received a bottle of El Toro Eden. More on it later, but in-short it is a delicious and unique apple infused tobacco liquid unlike any I've tried. Not sure that it's my favorite apple-tobacco yet, it has pretty stiff competition, but it IS good.

The base that comes with the Grande Guevara leaves is light and virtually tasteless; I tested it prior to steeping. After the base test, I added it to the bottle with the leaves and the wait began. After 3 days, I checked the liquid just see how it was progressing. The last thing I wanted to do was let it go too long and find the taste to be too strong. At 3 days, the taste was light in strength and light in flavor. Not unpleasant in any way, just not quite "there" yet.

I decided to let it go the next 2 days with the cap off after reading Paddy's review at the UK site. What a difference! The taste for me is not as "in your face" as some people have described it. This is a good thing since I though W2V London was a bit too much. The taste is CLEAN, pure tobacco. It is very much akin to the smell of a smooth cigar. The closest thing to it that I've tasted are the flavor pods from Ploom. If you're not familiar with the device, check it out. It is a true vaporizer that uses little pre-packed tins. There's almost no carrier liquid, just enough to keep it a little moist as best as I can tell. This gives a very clean and true taste.

Anyway, back to the Grande Guevara. I get a slightly nutty, dry tobacco on the inhale. The throat hit is nice (mine is 18mg) but not overwhelming. The exhale gives a more full and rounded tobacco flavor with a little sweet and a little bitter. I've started the next batch and intend on letting this one go 3 days with the cap and 3 days without to see if I can get just a little more "grunt" out of it.

Also attached is a pic of (L) a 5-day steep (M) Base Liquid capped since arrival (R) 2nd steep in progress

All in all, I'm loving this liquid. It is unlike anything I've had before in it's clean-ness and how satisfying it is. It is not overpowering, so I could use it as an all-day-vape, which is a problem since at this time it's only sold in Jolly Old. I'll be re-ordering as soon as it's available because transit times are long.

Brilliant review! Yea! Um...It may have been me that called it "In your face" but I think it was because I was trying to convey that if you want cigar or tobacco flavor, that is exactly what you're going to get - none of that "well, I think there's some tobacco in there...maybe....if I can override the caramel/vanilla/honey/cake batter first" stuff going on. Clean and pure would probably have been a more apt description but I'm a female and I babble.

Ha! YOU babble? Did you see that review? It was twice as long....sometimes I'm wordy.
And yes, I get your description now. There's no doubt that this is tobacco, pure and simple. Notice I did not say plain. I love it...now I just have to get eBaron to give me the secret re-release date so I can get more (and try the Virginia Prime)

Three more days with the Guevara and the liquid (minus leaves) continues to darken in color and deepen in flavor a bit. I have not had any of the atty or carto clogging like some people I'd read about. Been using it mainly in a HH357 and a MegaXL DCC. Will load up Penelope with a fresh coil after lunch.

Baron i have to say the virgina prime and guevera are pretty awesome liquids, they are coil killers lol but its not really a big problem when you vape at hight watts cause it doesnt give much time for big builds of gunk :D i loved both at 4 days steep and was wondering if you can say how long are you steeping now or you prefer to keep the secrect ?

Thanks !

I bought a 60ml of VP and got a sample of Guevara, and I'm loving the Guevara more which is weird as I only used to have cigars over Christmas/New Year.

Sadly the sample is almost gone, and I'm out of money until next week, but I'm planning on ordering some Cigarillos, Eden, and more Guevara.

I didn't try any of the El Toro post-steep so I can't do a comparison, but Glenn (Romastino) reviewed them pretty well.
