How bad is it to leave mod/eliquid/tank in the car during summer?

I realized my coils from my kanger protank break everytime I leave them in the car or in extreme heat. Why is that?

I've never had an issue with coils breaking after leaving them in the car and suspect it might be a coincidence, but the heat isn't good for your battery and may shorten it's life. Leaving liquid in the car, on the other hand, is often considered a good thing. Some people do it intentionally to let the heat thin the juice and help the flavors mix better. They say it reduces the steeping time.

Cars get VERY HOT INSIDE. On a sunny 70 degree day the temp in your car can reach upwards of 140 degrees and higher after just 3 hours. Extended periods of time in heat can be bad for your battery, and also for your juice. Coils on the other hand are inert and insulated in the setup, so it is unlikely that they will be damaged from direct sunlight/heat. Just my 2 cents.

It makes my tanks leaks a bit. Thinning liquid and heat makes for easier to leaks. No problem for me other wise! Coils breaking? Never on cleros I use but I don't have protank.

I put my new juices in the car on purpose..to help them steep. I met the owner of Mount Baker Vapor and he is the one that told me this. The heat has never hurt my Kanger coils. But good info on the batteries....thanks for thr heads up all !!

different things expand at different rates when heated, thats why you get leaking and cracking. And you should know, since you live in Las Vegas, that extreme heat is bad for batteries. Hell, the Vegas heat is bad for everything.

Bad for the batteries, never a problem with my protanks, but then I do set them up to run 100% PG juice anyway so thinning isn't an issue after I get to them anyway.

I'd say just happenstance that they blew after being in the car.
